Dear friends,

for those who love learning about different cultures, please find here a video showing how we Spanish people celebrate this week, Easter (But we do call it Holy Week). This week conmmemorate the death of Jesus Christ and we make parades in the town with images of Virgin Mary and Jesus.
Sevilla is the most famouse town on this matter because of the beautiness of their images and the participation of the people.

In this video you can have a rough idea on how it works, but basically from each big church, a Jesus Christ and a Virgin Mary go out in the town and there is thousands of believer following her/him. The believers wear this long garment, with the face covered (s suppoused to be anonymous). Some of them are barefoot, some are wearing heavy crosses on their backs... There is also a music band playing sad music all the time.

I keep my opinion for myself regarding this tradition, but it is a fact, and it is very famous. So I thought that maybe some of you could be interested.
