the songs title is Ba3d Sneen بعد سنين, not Ba3ed Sneen باعد سنين

Sorry for the question but does Farsi has anything to do with Arab???
And guys pleeeeease try not to make threads so long, I get lost that way, and it's not like I can do the search thing here, YOU WRITE WITH NUMBERS . Oh by the way what do they stand for??? (meaning the equivalents in latin or even better Greek )

farsi is what they speak in iran, persian language.. nothing to do with arabic the digits represent the sounds in arabic that do not have an equivalent in english, e.g. the 7 is a hard H from throat kinda thing, 5 is umm something between the 7 and the normal h, 3 is a sound similar to a, but more umm muffled in a way, the 2 represents something of a sharp 'stop' to a sound... the 9 is a an s and the 6 is a t that come from the throat ... am i missing any digits here lol... and im not arab, its probably best if rock star looks over these explanations, as im not good with explaining neither... btw there a few sites that offer audio samples of the letters/sounds, if you are interested let me know.... and the thread is that long cuz it was the only thread hehe, so everything went under there....now that we have a section it would be more organised.. and in the big thread there is a post of mine saying that we should divide the big one into individual threads corresponding to every song so its easier to browse..im guessing you will be more able to do that than me

ah and i just remembered rock star had posted this in relations to the digits :

7 --> ح which is a sharp H from the throat
2 --> ء which is the gloatal stop, like when you say "Apple", it's the 1st sound
3 --> ع which sounds like gaging

Well, as Angelus said, Farsi has nothing in common with Arabic except that it uses its alphabet and some vocabulary, but they are from 2 different language families

And the numbers, as she also explained they have no equivalent in english
What you missed was that the 5 or as I put it as Kh is the same sound as the "x" in Greek, and there's the gh which is the same as the Parisian "r", there's a topic on that on wikipedia as Arabic Chat Letters or something like that.

I know there are sites with the letters+sounds but they don't write them with numbers so I can't know the equivalence. I even downloaded a file to learn how to write but it seems like I have to be good in painting. Way toooooooo hard+ I don't have the time right now.
As for the division of the thread I am not sure I can do that, even if I am a moderator.

You're welcome.
and yeah, I know what you mean, a couple of days ago I was saying that many people consider Arabic to be harder than Chinese to learn
And yeah, we consider the Arabic calligraphy to be a form of art, there are actually people that make a living just by being a calligrapher

actually i didnt miss the 5, its after my idea of an explanation for the 7 :P and the 'x' in greek is not as hard as the 5.... actually its the same as a 'x' we have in armenian but no armenian speakers here LOL

im a moderator on another forum and as such i can delete threads.. so i was thinking of actually copy paste the requests, translations and whatever relevant to them while creating the relevant topics in a new topic...and delete the ones from the big thread.. kinda thing...get me?
