heh actually i was referring to the one above, ya rayah, which was clearly copied more recently. the abdel kader one you posted is not mine, though it's a great song. everything on my site is only a few months old and never is there arabic written in english. i don't make money off the site really it's just for my own resume and practice, so it's not a big deal anyway, but the link helps get visitors to the site cuz it raises the google ranking and it makes sure when the translation eventually shows up on youtube i am referenced so it doesn't look like i'm the one who is copying.

whops... lol... thats to teach me to read properly 6ayeb 6ayeb.. btw do you translate a particular accent or can you do most songs?

well might be best with Standard Arabic, but I am pretty good with Egyptian and usually Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian dialect thanks to experience with music and the fact they are usually less complicated than standard. The gulf, iraq and maghreb i can understand but often not well enough to do a whole translation. learning though slowly.

i noticed you are the facilitator of a lot of work that gets done on this site. why the intense interest in arabic music?

yes angelus is everywhere,mostly here,where i try to help as much as i can and in the slavic languages section ....

its not an intense interest in the music alone, i have a passion for the middle east,... me i have an arabic soul lol.. actually i wanna learn arabic propely but have no time right now...anyway from that arab soul comes the love for the music as well.. and i know how much i want translations myself, hence i like helping others to get them as well

yes it's the same reason i started translating songs in the first place. there aren't a lot out there and they are so hard to find. of course i will try to help with hamada, tell me the songs and i'll see if i should be able to get the lyrics and translate them, though if you want the soul of arabic music i think the real artists are abdel halim, fairouz, majida el roumy, asala, souad massi and so on. unforunately the pop songs today with haifa, tamer hosny, elissa etc are not as good as what was coming out even 10 years ago it seems, though i wasn't there have you learned your alphabet yet?

lol thats funny for some reason i only like females and i have a thing for the Moroccan accent. i think it started with hasna shofu shofu.

Lotus translation of Ya Rayeh is good but not accurate in many instances.
