where are you going ?
الى أين أنت ذاهب؟
ela ayna anta thaheb?
ا ل ى - أ ي ن - أ ن ت - ذ ا ه ب ؟
this if u wanna ask a male

but if wanna ask a female it goes like this:
الى أين أنتي ذاهبة؟
ela ayna ante thaheba
ا ل ى - أ ي ن - أ ن ت ي - ذ ا ه ب ة ؟
------------------------------
what are you eating?
ماذا تأكل؟
matha ta`akol ?
for male.

ماذا تأكلين؟
matha ta`akoleen?
for female

so in arabic they add ( ة)
to indecate to female

here are some adj to show u how:
سعيد= happy = s3eed or sa`eed (m)
he is happy = ennaho saaed= إنه سعيد
she is happy = ennaha sa`eeda= إنها سعيدة
سعيدة= sa`eeda= happy (F)
-----------------
tall = طويل taweel = for male
طويلة = taweela = for female= tall

صغير = sagheer= young or small (m)
صغيرة = sagheera = young or small (F)
and so on ...etc).

Dear Mavii, could you write, please the imperative form (masculin and feminine) of some verbs, that are mostly used. Like: Come!, Go!, Write!, Read!, Eat!, Learn! and others.

Well, dear Mavii, i took 10 verbs and put them in the Imperative mood, f. and m. singular and plural and also m+f (dual). I hope i did at least something good.

1. to do – m. sg. ifa3al
f. sg. ifa3ali
m+f ifa3ala
m. pl. ifa3alu
f. pl. ifa3alna

2. to talk - m. sg. itakallam
f. sg. itakallami
m+f itakallama
m. pl. itakallamu
f. pl. itakallamna

3. to come out - m. sg. ukhruj
f. sg. ukhruji
m+f ukhruja
m. pl. ukhruju
f. pl. ukhrujna

4. to come in – m. sg. udkhul
f. sg. udkhuli
m+f udkhula
m. pl. udkhulu
f. pl. udkhulna

5. to get on (a bus) – m. sg. irkib
f. sg. irkibi
m+f irkiba
m. pl. irkibu
f. pl. irkibna

6. to study – m. sg. udrus
f. sg. udrusi
m+f udrusa
m. pl. udrusu
f. pl. udrusna

7. to send (a letter) – m. sg. ursil
f. sg. ursili
m+f. ursila
m. pl. ursulu
f. pl. ursulna

8. to watch – m. sg. undhur
f. sg. undhuri
m+f undhura
m. pl undhuru
f. pl. undhurna

9. to believe – m. sg. usaddaq
f. sg. usaddaqi
m+f usaddaqa
m. pl. usaddaqu
f. pl. usaddaqna

10. to applaude – m. sg. usaffaq
f. sg. ussaffaqi
m+f usaffaqa
m. pl. usaffaqu
f. pl. usaffaqna

And for the verbs, that already end in "i", which is their Imperative? For example, for the verbs: iabni (to build) and iughani (to sing).

Please correct my mistakes. Thank you.

2. to talk - m. sg. itakallam
f. sg. itakallami
m+f itakallama
m. pl. itakallamu
f. pl. itakallamna
-this right but without (i) so just delete the letter (i)

3. to come out - m. sg. ukhruj
f. sg. ukhruji
m+f ukhruja
m. pl. ukhruju
f. pl. ukhrujna

4. to come in – m. sg. udkhul
f. sg. udkhuli
m+f udkhula
m. pl. udkhulu
f. pl. udkhulna

5. to get on (a bus) – m. sg. irkib
f. sg. irkibi
m+f irkiba
m. pl. irkibu
f. pl. irkibna

6. to study – m. sg. udrus
f. sg. udrusi
m+f udrusa
m. pl. udrusu
f. pl. udrusna

7. to send (a letter) – m. sg. ursil
f. sg. ursili
m+f. ursila
m. pl. ursulu
f. pl. ursulna
ursil means i send & when u put it in the Imperative mood it goes like this
f.sg - arseli
m+f - arselaa
m.pl - arsilo
f.pl - arsilna

8. to watch – m. sg. undhur
f. sg. undhuri
m+f undhura
m. pl undhuru
f. pl. undhurna
yandhor is the verb from nadhara, when u put it in the Imperative mood it goes like this:
f.sg - ondhori
m+f - ondhora
m.pl - ondhoro
f.pl - ondhurna

9. to believe – m. sg. usaddaq
f. sg. usaddaqi
m+f usaddaqa
m. pl. usaddaqu
f. pl. usaddaqna
here just delete the letter (u)

10. to applaude – m. sg. usaffaq
f. sg. ussaffaqi
m+f usaffaqa
m. pl. usaffaqu
f. pl. usaffaqna
here delete the letter (u) .

And for the verbs, that already end in "i", which is their Imperative? For example, for the verbs: iabni (to build) and iughani (to sing).

yabni is verb from bana yabni
so
f.sg - ebni
m+f - ebneya or ebno
m.pl - ebno
f.pl - ebno
------
the verb to sing
singing (ghena`a) ghanna is past verb
yoghanni is present verb..

Imperative mood
f.sg - ghanni
m+f - ghanno or ghanneya (both is correct)
m.pl - ghanno
f.pl - ghanno

Please correct my mistakes. Thank you.
but you are very good
Bravo

Thank you, Mavii! I'll post other Grammar things here, so you can tell me if I'm right or wrong.

How do you say: "Unfortunately, I'm still thinking about you?"

I was away for a while, but now I'm back and I'll study all of your great posts Mavii. Thanks for the help you provide to all of us. Do you want me to make this thread sticky? Then it will always stay in the first place.
