I haven't read any of his poems but I wouldn't be surprised because many Arabic songs are inspired by poems

What dialect is he singing this song in? the first part is not lebanese and then the second half is lebanese dialect..... can anyone explain my confusion lol thank you!

Well, the first part is Fus7a (Standard Arabi), and the other parts are Lebanese
