حضن الغريب
the arms of a stranger
7uthn حضن---- has many meanings.. at least it does to me.. it means to be in someone's arms, in their lap, where you are held dearly
خليه يمشي ياقلبي ويبعد ويدور ويشوف
let him walk away, my heart, let him go his distance, then turn around and see
بكره حيبكي ياقلبي ويرجع زي طير ملهوف
tomorrow he will cry, my heart, and will come back like a bird flying home (as when a bird comes back after its migration, he comes back excited..)
هيدور ع الحنان والحب بتاع زمان ماهيلقي زيّنا
he'll look for the gentleness and love that we had in the past/that belonged in the past, but he wont find anything like us (as in the love that we had)
مهما يروح او يغيب برضه حضن الغريب
how ever much he goes and stays away, its still the arms of a stranger
مش زي حضننا
its not the same as our arms
هيدور ع الحنان والحب بتاع زمان ماهيلقي زيّنا
he'll look for the gentleness and love that we had in the past/that belonged in the past, but he wont find anything like us (as in the love that we had)
مهما يروح او يغيب برضه حضن الغريب
how ever much he goes and stays away, its still the arms of a stranger
مش زي حضننا, مش زي حضننا
its not the same as our arms..its not the same as our arms
كان يشوفنا بيجري علينا كان الدفي والنور لعنينا
he used to see us, and run towards us, the light and warmth in him were for us, for our eyes (litely: for our eyes)
وفي لحظه راح ولا جاش
and in a moment, he went and did not come (back)
كأنه ياقلبي ما شافناش بقي دلوقت يشوفنا
as if he did not see us, my heart, but now, at this time, he does see us
كان يشوفنا بيجري علينا كان الدفي والنور لعنينا

that all this betrayil would come from him, that he would forget our story
بكره يشوف الويل من غيرنا ويعرف قيمتنا
tomorrow (ie: in the future), he'll see trouble/pain from others, and then he'll know our value
عمري ماكنت اتصور منه
