Ftato aseela bi 3mr el qadar
Samawto biha 3n qolob el bashar
Osabbi7o mobdi3aha fima sawwar
Fa-ha qit3aton min ro5am ta3ash-shaqa
Ra2i7ata el yasameen-i fa azhar
Jori wa ray7ano, miskon wa 3nbar
Fa7 bi sar7in tallawwan a5dar
3laho hilal w zan 7laho
Athanon bi esmi el 5llaqi kabbar
Zad daqqati el ajrasi 3edan
Nida2o salati biha erro7 tadhar
Fa ta3baqo bil ba55or matari7a
Y7ni biha kolla qalbin ta7ajjar
Shaam anti ftati wa ommi
7danti sibaya fahal feeki akbar
Fma af3al kai anala ridaki
Wa feeki batharto sabaya w abshar
Fhal man yoza3'rido wa yo3li nida2an
Li far7ati qalbin bi jor7in ta5ammar
Howa wa3do dahri fa ya laita qabri
Wa fostan 3orsi bi folliki ya3mar.... Shaam
The One Who Doesn't Thank Others, Doesn't Thank God
before i begin thanks for a beautiful song...
these oldies are so hard to find, so i wonder how did you...
fetatun saghirah be omr el qadar
semut beha 'an qulup el bashar
a small girl at the age of the moon
(semut = i'll die?) with her with the hearts of humanity
we rahat oyuni le meraaha taalu
astabih mubdi'aha fima sawwar
and my eyes looked up at her gaze
I glorify the Creator for envisioning her
feha qit'atun min rukham ta'shaq
raihat el yasemine faazhar
in it a piece of marble she loves
the smell of jasmines blossomed
juri we reyhan, misk we anbar
fah be sarh beluwn akhdar
Gori , basil, musk and amber
keep out the taste with the green color
alah helalun wezan helahu
azan baism alkhallaq kabbar
on its sky a crescent and .......
an Azan in the name of the Creator it says "Allahu Akbar"
zad daqqat al agras eidan
nida salatun biha al ruh tatahar
the increased ringing of the bells, a holiday
a call to prayers in itthe soul is purified
fata'buq bilbukhur matarih
yehinnu beha kul qalbin tahajjar
the incense are piled in places
yearning in it every pertified heart
chaam'un anti fatati we ommi
hazantuki sabaya fa hel fik akbar?
Damascus you are my daughter and mother
I embraced you in my youth, will I grow up within you?
fema af'al ke anal redaki
we fiki bed'ert sabaya we abshar
what must I do to earn your blessings?
For I've sown my youth and preached inside you
fe hel men yezaghrrid we yu'li nida'an
le farhit qalbun bjurhin takahmmar
For if those who make trills increase their inquries
to the delight of the heart who's wounds are fermented
hu waad dehri fiaylayt qabri
we fustan 'ursi befulki ya'mar
its is a promise that forever live, i hope until my grave
and until my wedding gown withers..

I was really happy to see some people interested in a Syrian song and I tried to translate the song the best way I could hopefully you'll get the meaning
If not don't be shy ask me and I'll clear it up cause it's a tough one for native arabs just as well
This song is about the city of Damascus, where the singer is originally from and the Translation of it is like this:
An original girl as old as destiny itself
I raised her up over the humanity love(1)
And my eyes got up high just looking at her, glorifying the Maker about what He drew
And that is a piece of marble soaked the Jasmine Scent up and thus blossomed
Into Jury(2), Basil, Musk and Ambergris (3)
This evaporated across a Green coloured monument
Topped off with a crescent and adorned with
Prayer calls cherishing the name of the Creator
Adding to the delight of the Church Bells ringing a delight
Of the prayer call in which Souls are purified
And some places were sweet with incense
In which tenderising(4) every hardened heart
Damascus you're my Daughter and my Mother
I grew up in you but would I grow old too??
So what should I do to gain your blessings?
Yet I've sown my youth around you and willingly more I'd do
And who would trill and raise up the announcement of
A thrilled heart of a fermented wound
And this is my vow so I wish that my grave
Just as my wedding dress, would be adorned with your Full.
1.I love her beyond than the love known for human.
2.Jury is the common name of the Damascus Rose which has a heavy sweet scent.
3.These are the names of the scents which are considered as the purest sweetness.
4. Tenderise is the exact meaning of Yahnou which also means soften
Wow thanks a lot, you explained it with even the smallest detail. The song sounds like a beautiful poem, now it makes more sense to meShukran Kitheer!
