Always liked the New York style Onyx had with their lyrics. Also they aren't the only that deserve mentioning, there were Das EFX, Fu Schnickens and a great deal of others that brought hiphop to a higher level. It's a shame it got to what it is today tho.

Ha ha ha... there are a lot of young hip hop fans that'd try to argue you off the forum for those comments... They have no idea about the old school and prefer to believe Eminem and Fiddy are the kings of old school

Indeed, kids today act like they now better. But I won't start ranting about that again, the good stuff will be always remembered while T.I. and all these new rappers that do it just for money, will be forgotten in the next couple of years, that is a fact.
Anyway, keep listening to the hiphop you know.

It's all the stuff I liked that infused funk with rap... I'm more a rock/metal guy but I respect anyone who respects and identifies their influences.

Well, for just a few months ago I would say Linkin Park, but now I don't like them as much as I once did. I really tried so much to make myself believe that I loved their new album, but honestly, I don't like it, compared to all their old stuff it's just.. crap... and I kinda hate their new style, too. So yeh.. whatever... they are just a big dissapointment for me...
As for now my favorite band is 10 Years.

Lol
These are definitely the best bands of all time:
1. Something Corporate
2. Jack's Mannequin
3. The Ting Tings
4. Motley Crew
5. Dream Theater
These bands are the best. Not only are they unique, they have also carved themselves as influences for other artists.
