It wasn't until they hooked up with Guelo Star and Los Leones de Ponce that they really become famous. Their good friends Arcangel y De La Ghetto put them on the map....with the song Soy una Gargola! Real good Choice!

I don't know if you have heard of Guelo Star but i'm a big fan of his! He's really good...and he wrote a lot of Jowel Y Randy's stuff.

I am a fan of the old Ultimate Warrior, not the racist bigot Jim Hellwig/Warrior has become...

I changed the name to this cos it was funny but I want to change it to something else but the mods/admin ignore my requests.

Yeah I was a huge fan of the wrestler! He was awesome in WWF...But the industry did him very dirty. Vince McMahon and Eric Biscoff didn't exactly treat him well. But I think all the Roids and Drugs messed up his mental because that dude is nutz now. I heard a couple of his interviews and some stuff he did after Benoit's death.....He needs to be locked up in a mental hospital!

The guy ran Warrior University for a month and never paid anyone... He ran it into the ground.

He then ran Warrior Wrestling and got nowhere with that.

WCW made him a laughing stock
WWE tried again and he made them look stupid for booking him.

Bischof's an idiot anyway.

That's why I don't watch wrestling anymore....Nothing in it for me! It's like a soap now...they took the old fashion american Drop Kicking aspect out of it!....Weak!

Default Need Reggaeton suggestions for a Latin Dance

Hello all

I used to live in NYC and I LOVE Latin music. all of it!!!
I now live in West Virginia where the only Latin dancing I get is a Latin dance held one a month in a resturant after it closes.
( LOng story how I wound up here LOL)
The DJ is an American born Panamanian who dosn't speak spanish.
What would you all recommend for the reggaeton selections to get everyone up and dancing.
I'm looking for the most danceable hits.

Can anyone suggest about 20 tracks?
We are at a real disadvantage here.
We don't even have reggaeton on the radio here.

Thanks Joyce

I can only come up with 15 right off the top of my head.....I don't really listen to too much Commercial Reggaeton Like I said before...I'm more into Underground stuff! There's actually a buddy of mine named Dj Sincero who puts out all the latest and greatest stuff on a rotation cd called Encendio. I believe he's up to 22.5. You should probably look to download those mixtapes...it'll have all the newest things that are bumping in the radios and clubs.

Artist - Song - Album
1. Khriz Y Angel - Serias Mia - Los Brothers
2. Randy - Terminamos Agresivo - Los Brothers
3. Wisin y Yandel - Me Estas Tentando - La Mente Maestra
4. Baby Rasta y Gringo - Tiemblo - The Comeback
5. Eloy Ft Yomo - Se Va Guilla - Unrealeased
6. Yaga y Mackie Ft Arcangel - La Bellaquera Remix - Unreleased
7. Arcangel ft Jking - Agresivo 3 - Unreleased
8. Daddy Yankee Ft Arcangel - Pasion - Talento De Barrio
9. J King y Maximan - Dejame Tocarte - Unreleased
10. La Sista ft Jowell y Randy and Daddy Yankee - El Stripper - Unreleased
11. De La Ghetto - Tu Te Imaginas - Massacre Musical
12. Daddy Yankee - Pose - Talento De Barrio
13. Calle 13 - Fiesta De Locos - Los De Atras Vienen Conmigo
14. Don Omar - Diva Virtual (Chkea Como Se Menea) - Leaked/Single from iDon Not yet Released
15. Tony Lenta Ft J King, Maximan y Arcangel - Descontrol remix - Unreleased

Calle 13 falls under the category of 'Musica Urbana' or Urban Music. He does have some Reggaeton Tracks...but he doesn't only mainly do Reggaeton. He prides himself on having his own style and way of making music.

just dropping in.

Probably already previously mentioned but I think the guys that are the best right now and will always be the best are;
Wisin Y Yandel and Don Omar.

Daddy yankee is okay but...he seems to be to shallow. Theres not much Soul or Heart into his songs. Their just Club dance songs. Yeah people will like them but they just don't last and don't have it for me.
just my opinion.

ps does any know a about a new song by La Factoria? well mayb its not by them but its the same voice from Perdoname!
thnx

Yeah you're absolutely right! Calle 13 consists of 2 people. But since Rene or Residente is usually the voice of the group...I have a tendency of referring to the group as him being the solo artist.....My bad!

I agree to an extent! Wisin y Yandel will always be on top. They are def the best duo in Reggaeton Period! Don Omar....Not so much! lol.....he kinda fell off...but he's supposed to be coming out with some new ****...let's see how that goes.

Honestly....Daddy Yankee has been around forever. He's done many many many songs. The guys does have heart and he does put feeling into his music. The problem is, that you only listen to his commercial stuff. Stuff that he puts out as club bangers. Sit back and listen to his CDs, all his hip hop underground stuff...is really nothing less of fire!

As far as new factoria songs...I think you asked me this before....I don't really listen to them so I really don't know of anything new by them. But Eddy Lover just dropped a CD and if i'm not mistaken...i believe he's on the song Perdoname. you might want to look him up.

Don hasnt really had much hot reggaeton lately (mostly romantic stuff), but i would say he's still a major player in the industry. I think he's more diverse than the others. Can't wait for his new CD.

I've never been all too much of a fan of Don Omar. His collaborations with Wisin & Yandel have been awesome. As far as solo songs, Pobre Diabla is just about the only one of his songs that I can listen to without getting bored.

The new La Mente Maestra album is awesome. Alexis & Fido's song Superheroe is awesome, though so incredibly dirty. I didn't realize how "bad" it was until I read the lyrics + translations.

A lot of people don't seem to like Wisin & Yandel's softer stuff like "¿Donde esta el amor?", "Dime que to paso", "Lloro por ti remix", etc. But I think it's good for them to have variation.

Speaking of variation, I'm loving Daddy Yankee's Talento de Barrio album as well. It's different than his Gasolina/Rompe type songs. But they are still awesome. "Que Tengo Que Hacer" and "Llamado de Emergencia" are really good. I can sing along with "Llamado de Emergencia" because he doesn't go fast, so I can understand him a little better. Now, Temblar, is quite difficult to follow along with.

Ivy Queen's song "Dime" is nice. It's refreshing to hear a woman every once in a while.

I started listening to Reggaeton ever since Gasolina came out, but it wasn't until just a couple weeks ago that I started trying to seriously learn Spanish, so, I really didn't put it up there in terms of importance.

I actually like Wisin & Yandel's softer stuff (like Lloro Por Ti w/ Enrique Iglesias).

I agree about Ivy Queen. Have you listened to Glory? She's another one of the few women in reggaeton, and she's not bad (I like La Popola, haha).

If he started listening after Gasolina...then he probably hasn't heard of Glory. Glory is old school....she was actually an artist for a long time....Then she finally came out main stream when she teamed up with Don Omar back in like 02 03....The song Popola was a hit....Everyone was bumping that song...even though it's dirty as hell lol.

I actually think that most of Wisin y Yandel's best stuff is the more slow down tone stuff....that's actually what keeps them up. They cater to everyone....I remember when they were coming up...they had a couple of ReggaeRockiao songs...which was a blend of Rock and Reggaeton. They are very versatile...they aren't gonna slow down any time soon! they will be around forever....

Daddy Yankee is another one...He's very versatile....Although he's great with reggaeton....He is just as great with Hip Hop....It wasn't until he teamed up with Scot Storch that he started producing mainstream USA style reggaeton....but i'm glad he's still sticking to his roots and making bangers like Llamado de Emergencia....Daddy Yankee has been around forever....The first CD to come out of Reggateon was Playero 37...Daddy Yankee is all over it.

I love mainstream artists, but I really like discovering new artists/not so popular artists! I still like W&Y but I kind of fell off with them when I found out they were married! LOL I hate admiring a married men, it's weird. I like Jadiel, Ivy Queen, I'm really into De La Ghetto right now his album is really hot:-)
