King of Reggaeton
who you think is El Rey De Reggaeton?
I Say Tempo or Vico C
Vico C has been in the reggaeton scene since the 1980s but i like Tempos lyrics better his violent style makes him madd nice but other than that who you think is king?
*Don Omar call himself the king of reggaeton that is why Tempo, Daddy Yankee, Polaco, Yomo, Hector El Father, O.G Black y Master Joe, Baby Rasta y Gringo, Wisin, and Alexis y Fido have been dissing Don Omar for the past few years but I still think he is one of the best.

lol sweety I didn't mean it like that! jajaja but maybe I will bring it!
I remember that song...it actually brings back a lot of memories! jajaja I must have dedicated that song a like 5 girls! lol....
"Hombre al fin, donde quiera que me paro, las lenguas me persiguen cuando formo mi relajo,y a así sucesivamente pude perder, la gente habla sin parar sin tan siquiera saber"
Los Benjamins is a name of a CD...that's Luny Tunes work....
Wisin y Yandel, Daddy Yankee I would say yeah...Don Omar not so much! and Now Don Omar has beef with Wisin y Yandel again...it's stupid...he's trying to get back on top. His new tracks are alright....they aren't anything great! I wouldnt classify Pit Bull in Reggaeton.

my beef w/ calling urself the king of a genre or music is you have to be on top all the time. you need to be in ppls ears, heads, ipods etc.. all the time. you have to consistantly produce hit aftr hit, cd aftr cd. don has been on the hush for a minute. wy is killing reggaeton right now and they got their new cd la revolución on deck for 2009. don has his cd don omar presenta: el orfanato (compilation album) we'll see when that drops though..
im not saying they are.., as a matter of fact i am gonna say they, wy, are the kings right now. and my evidence is their production.. sales, tours, fan clubs, quality of music, consistancy in producing music and making music the people want to hear, creating a style, being ahead of the musical curve (which they demonstrated on the cd w/ nesty la mente maestra)..
don omar isnt there at this time. daddy yankee is getting there. however, i personally think he needs to take it back to the barrio.. less pop, get a lil gutter. hit us w/ that new age dembow swagger ya dig

i think that wisin y yandel are the sh*t because of everything they do and you all know it look at the other threads in every single one they were mentioned sh*t they are the best in the netherlands so imagine. my fav song of there is con mi reggae muero it is just too much lol but yeah la mente maestra is probably the best cd i have heard in a while but everyone forgets about arcangel he has been out for a long time and i think he is just the sh*t because he is rap and just anything else you put him in i especially like him 'me compre un full','agresivo 1 and 3','pistolon' both, and basically any other thing he does.
oh and you forgot yaga y makie they are the ones most reggaeton artist look up to.
and what about yomo h doing good too even after hector el father left with nothing.
does anyone remember alberto stylee and big boy and divino.

I agree with the Wisin y Yandel comment.....They have definitely been doing their thing...since way back when they started. Their first CD was called Los Reyes Del Nuevo Milenio....Really Good CD I remember I Played the shi t out of it...They were mostly known for their hit in DJ Dicky 3 though...Vamos a Detonar!
Arcangel is good....He is def talented....but his attitude keeps shooting him in the foot. He keeps talking **** and doing stuff that makes the public mad....His latest Album was way toooo commercial He catered to the girls way too much and lost a lot of his hip hop fans....
Nobody really looks up to Yaga y Mackie....they are just there. They try to stay in the game...They have OK tracks...but it's all the featuring that keep Full Records a float....Ñengo is good...but not great....LT is weird....but can be good at time...and Yampi makes the same beats over and over and over again....
Alberto Stylee...Big Boy....and Divino. Divino is still doing his thing...he concentrates and doing concerts and just keeping his fans happy....He's working on a few projects...so expect to hear from him soon. Alberto Stylee is trying to revive his career. He really hasn't had a hit since the early 2000's with Tu no estas....that was a great track...but after that...nothing. He recently dropped a track with Maicol Superstar (Maicol from Maicol y Manuel) They used to rap together underground with Nico Canada and the Mansion Crew....I don't think he has what it takes to keep up with the game now....he needs to change his style up a bit and maybe put some effects on his voice. Big Boy! lol...wow! He was one of the Original Rasta Fari style reggae. Def good way back in the early to mid 90's with Mr. Big and Que Vayas con Dios which was early 90's like 93, 94...Then Mis Ojos Lloran por ti in 96 and He Chocado con la vida in 97! Those CD's were fire....but then after that he just died out....nothing for him to do...Reggaeton was moving forward and he was stuck with that old skool style.....he dropped a few more albums after that.....Big Impact, Virus, El Comeback...etc etc....They sucked! Bad! lol

yeah arcangel is an a**hole but his sh*t is fire but yeah i didnt like el diario de un sonador or the newest one i forgot what its called lol but the yaga y makie thing ive seen interviews with like don omar and i think daddy yankee and some other artist they say that they look up to them at least at the beginning at their careers and i think yaga y mackie are the sh*t too idk why but i do especially the songs with arcangel like pistolon and basically any other colab. with them. idk thats my opinion.
ps i saw you on another thread talking about the pr rapper they are the best the dr rappers really dont have anyone and i dont know anyone that would really listen to them the closest person to being good and thats barely is jayko and thats cause hes was on the cd with wisin y yandel

Arcangel is okay....its just a lot of the same **** with him ya know?
I can see how Don Omar and Daddy Yankee would say that they Respect Yaga y Mackie as Artists...but keep in mind...Daddy Yankee has been around since Reggaeton Started....Don Omar...ehh not so much. But I don't think they would say that they look up to them....Daddy Yankee was on Yaga y Mackie's Pa frontiarle a cualquiera....that track is bananas! You should check that one out.
Jayko, also know as John Correa is not Dominican...He is Puerto Rican. and you won't hear too much about DR Rappers...and when you do....you'll know why they haven't been heard much. They aren't really that good. A lot of them sound the same...there is not versatility...they are mad loud...you can't really understand what they are saying...and they Rap too damn fast for the beat....it's a mess....Don't get me wrong...i'm not Ethnocentric. If there is a hott dominican Rapper then I would give him props...but there isn't...R1, Poeta Callejero, Lapiz Conciente etc etc...haven't proved anything to me yet....
I'm a fan of good music....regardless of Race.....when Reggaeton became popular...then every spanish country wanted to do the same...they just can't hack it....it doesn't sound good...i'm still trying to get into Mexican Hip Hop and I can't....it's not appealing....I do like Orishas from Cuba though...they have skillz....and there was one group from Colombia that had a few decent tracks...I forgot their name...but that's it.....

jayko when he was talking sh*t about baby rasta he was in DR and he was talking about how DR is the ghetto and how he missed it and whatever that how i figured he was from there and sono como si fuera de RD anyway yeah you have a point on all the other stuff but the difference is that you dont like arcangel that much and i think he is the sh*t lol

Dominican Rap doesn't do it for me.......It just sucks! (My Opinion!) Don't get offended!
Reychesta is Puerto Rican...He's from New York....Formally part of, or possibly still part of, Tres Coronas. I think he's garbage too!
