Spanish hymn for Anglo congregration

I am a member of an anglo contemporary church that has just started a Spanish ministry. We would like to learn a simple Christian praise song in Spanish to honor our new members. Do you have any thoughts? Our song leader speaks some Spanish and could lead the group but does not know any simple songs that our congregration could learn.

I'm trying to work out the translation in such a way it flows with the tune.
I don't speak spanish but am using a dictionary. I think (and hope) this would make the jump to a good song for us Anglos!

Ok - here is a lead sheet with the melody exactly as Danilo Montero sings it (at least the first time through, before he improvises a bit here and there the 2nd and third time through)
..
it's a very basic chord structure: Am F C G

all you have to do is repeat it here and there, as often as you want to sing it,
verse, chorus, verse chorus chorus???
If you wanted to, you could modulate for the final chorus, and play these chords to go up one step:

Bm G D A
