Default La nina de tus ojos

Hey everyone!

Just a slight correction. I was reading in Bible and it says in Duet. 32:10 that He called us the apple of his eye, which is spanish is La nina de tus ojos. Its not talking about a gender, it is saying that God takes care of us like the apple of his eye, which is the MOST fragile part of his eye. so here are the updated lyrics that JassyLady translated. (she did an excellent job, by the way, thanks, because i needed this song).

I noticed that some of you wanted the English version of "la nina de tus ojos" , so here it is:

The Apple of Your Eyes (la nina de tus ojos)

You saw me when no one else saw me.
You loved me when no one else loved me.(x2)

You gave me a name. I am yours.
Im the apple of your eyes,
Because you loved me (x2)
(After doing that section twice, repeat "Because you loved me" over and over)

Chorus:
I love you more than my life (x3)

GOD BLESS

'Niña' have both meanning
pupil (eye) and little girl
as pupil is less used, we normaly use 'pupila'

Good Morning,
Guys, for the last coulple of days....i've been going back and forth with
the "Nina"....I feel that this term really does not go with the feel of the song.
Ideas....

I agree with the first translation. The correct translation of the meaning of the phrase "la niña de tus ojos" is "the apple of your eye". You can't translate it to mean "the girl of your eyes", that is not what it is meant in this sense. In english, the idiom "apple of your eye" refers to something that is treasured or valued. You are the apple of my eyes.... you are a person I value... you are precious to me....

I agree with you....the apple of your eyes gives more of the feeling that the spanish song gives.
