I checked the audio version of that song to solve this "milk" mistery because every lyrics I found on the net are from the same rotten copy, I noticed that the word is "liait" " tout nous liait, à présent, tout nous sépare" = "everything linked us and now everything separates us" or "keeps us apart".

isn't that more logical this way?
