    Sweet
I've loved this piece since I heard it for the first time - brilliant lyrics, very meaningful for us here on the Eastern side
    I feel so convinced now

    ...after about 7 months? Why?

Funny thing is that, that Italian lady has already got the answers...

    Ogni tanto penso a te
    Sometimes I think about you
    è un vita che..
it’s such a long time that
    non ti chiamo, chiami me
I don’t call you, you call me
    può succedere...
    it can happen…
ma nessun altro chiamai: amore amore
but I didn’t call anybody else: love, love
since that moment I didn’t find anybody who was similar to you
che assomigliasse a me nel cuore
who was similar to me in the heart

hold on, there’s a message for you
    e dimmi se.. ci sei
and tell me if…you are there
perché ti conosco e so bene che
because I know you and I perfectly know that
by now you have no alternative
non c'è per te non c'è
    there’s no alternative for you

    Ma sarebbe una bugia, mia
    it would be a lie
    dirti adesso che...
if I told you right now that
    non ho avuto compagnia,
    I was alone
    sono uguale a te..
    I’m just like you
Io sopra ogni bocca cercai il tuo nome, il tuo nome
I was searching for your name in every mouth, your name

ho aspettato anche troppo lo sai
I’ve been waiting too long, you know
that I cancelled you…I removed you, from the heart

hold on, there’s a message for you
    e dimmi se ci sei..
and tell me if…you are there
because I know you and my place is not with you
    dipendo già da me...
    I’m already independent
    rimpiangerai, cose di noi
you’ll regret, the things of us
che hai perso per sempre ormai..
that you lost forever by now…

    Tu resta in ascolto perché
    alternativa a me non c'è

Ogni tanto penso a te.. può succedere.
Sometimes I think about you…it can happen

    translation by Jess31

And my comment as usually: F*** youtube...but really... it's annoying...

    Pausini bombing

...That is culture my friend Paul...sorry to argue with you... but... that is culture... The other "eastern" thing is just personal preference... a good looking one though... and good sounding as well ban worthy opinion?

    Talking about culture...

    Likes Stradivari technician?
Did he have some culture or not? Some lofty manners? some noble ancestry?

Of course not...He was a worker, a technician... But, Look what he did... He created a Myth, impossible to replicate...
To me, that's culture. To some, that's just invention... Depends what kind of dress you like to dress the doll....

Coincidence, the sound of his violins was about to be, (attempted to) replicated, by year 2000-on Computer technology.
Still, nobody (or almost nobody) knows yet if the sound is accurately replicated....

Still the secret about Stradivari's organs remains hidden... Some say that the lacquer was his secret...
Some more study reveals that the secret was not so simple and easy....

Stradivari was using wood for making his instruments... wood taken from the area he was living at...
Specific season of the year. Specific area in Italy. Well,

simply put.. Let's hear some Stradivari gadgets

But since the present Stradivarius holders are just a few around the world, I'll have to choose one who's not so classical oriented...

Enjoy Stradivarius sound (well that's an utopia on PC sound, but anyway...)

and some undeniable combined culture that no matter how much I want to, I can't deny it:

I guess the eastern equivalent is buzukius? right?

Nice! Tripple axel combined with tripple toe.

Thanks for the Stradivari history, you'd better open a new violin thread and you can be sure I will contribute. MY fav solo instrument among the classic ones.

But let's not start any disputes over opera, PLEASE. BTW, you've just picked my favourite operatic composer!

    Bravo, Safey!

Only Ms. Pausini seems a bit odd in all this!

Now sth for you that is a sort of combination of your ingredients- you asked for it! So I can't help placing it here:

This is what I call Culture. Of course she plays on a Stradivari. Stunning lady in every aspect!

One of the more Italian compositions by Peter Ilitch. But then so Russian in every note!

    Oh really?
So why have so many scientists devoted their lives to describing what it really is, huh?

Keep describing, Safey your efforts are at least interesting.

To lure you back here I'm borrowing Ms Jahović from the Balkan thread for you:

    Ela, Sans danger!
