    Dearest Bateli,

Thank you so much for personally sending me the link to this song and Psalm! This is one of my favorite Psalms: But you will hear these words again, because I LOVE the Psalms and Proverbs. At different times, due to my differing needs and feelings, my favorites of Psalms will vary! From the Psalms I gain strength, comfort, and wisdom about the one true God. From the Proverbs I gain wisdom in living, guidance, and discernment between what truly is good and what is bad. You did a nice job of translating this song ('Song of the Ascents,' Psalm 121 in my Bible) from Hebrew into modern English. The only way I can say this is because the bible I use is a direct translation into modern English from the ancient Hebrew (not a paraphrase bible or a distillation from the English King James, etc.). As you know, I do not have a knowledge of the Hebrew language, except for focus upon key and important words of the Hebrew scriptures. I will send you the original Hebrew > modern English translation of Psalm 121 that I have, in a PM!

[These are the sources for the Hebrew Scriptural Texts from which the modern English translation I use most often is taken: Original Hebrew Writings and Early Copies > Hebrew Consonantal Text > Masoretic Text > Codex Leningrad B 19A > Biblia Hebraica (BHK), Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS) > New World Translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into English (from English into many other modern languages).]

    Again, thank you, bateli!

P.S. Bateli, who sings this Psalm? His voice is "B--U--T--FUL!!!"

I shall look up to the mountains (to see) from where help will come
My help (will come) from God; the maker of sky and land
God won't let your legs collapse; your guard will not sleep
The saver of Israel will not sleep or rest
God is your guardian, God is your shadow, and God is to your right
At day the sun won't hit you and moon at night (will light your way)
God will save you from all evil; God will keep your soul
God will watch your coming and going from now and until forever

Yossi Azoulay is the singer and here's another song of his ....In this one he's collaborating with Shlomi Shabbat ...IMA = Mother

His third album is all about religious texts ...it's called PRAYERS ....smart choice ..

In this clip he's doing a cover version to Ofra Haza's song ...Along the shore (actually sea...)

    With all my love
