Well Velvet_sky, they say Romanian has some similities with Italian, maybe some words, maybe a litle grammar. But Romanian grammar seems more with the Greek one and has many dialects (even in Bulgary, in Greece and Albania)
Slavic languages are kiling me too ! What more to say about Turkish ? I can't understand a thing ! And in the second case, even If I could I wouldn't understand hungarian or russian. Useless

BTW, we should go to Serbja to join the militants ! Romania is mediator ! We will do our best to make the things clear.

A nice day !
Well ... hmm my mom once told me " why don't you start learning Spanish "(coz she watched some spanish films and she told me that the spanish seems to be very easy to learn.. i don't know if its like that coz i had once the decision to start to learn it but i didn't do it coz i had to start learning but the group who must have been for 10 ppl some of the ppl gave up and i never start with the language ... yeah i am glad too that i know english coz i can chat with friends at english( that is a one opportunity to have talk with foreign ppl ) ... i have a friend of mine who is turkish and when once she wrote to me something in turkish , the laguage seemed to me so diffrenece and so ( i also have heard the language) and she also gave a try to write and undestrand bulgarian words and she told me that the grammer is very difficult and that its very difference than turkish( i said to her its ok ... we can talk in eng )
hehe well thats maybe is a good idea you know ! .... to go to Serbia and give them our support btw here there was a demonstration about that one thing....

Have a nice day to you too!

Spanish is very easy, believe me. Grammar and no special necesities to speak it. Romanian is hard to speak, has a hard pronunciation, but not impossible.
English is an international sort, everyone speaks it, no mirage in this. French is... Sublime
Anyway, I didn't see you in the Romanian Lessons, you already gave up ?:-P LoL.

Thank you.

PS: I guess I go to see a mouvie.
Aaah, and Romania is deeply inplicated in Kosovo problem, since UE had chosen us the "mediator" of the problem. Anyway... We're going to help them because not about only some land, it's about people, beliefs, moral and justice.

I studied Literature and Linguistics, so;

ENGLISH: Advanced, close to native-speaker but I have god damn American accent unfortunately.

SPANISH: I took up Spanish classes and now i can speak it though i am not good at speaking as i did not have chance to practise.

PORTUGESE: I could not help learning it - What a sexy language but i am not good at words because i sometimes mix them with Spanish.

Once, i made sentence of Spanish words in Portugese pronounciation accidentally - It was hilarious

TURKISH: I can speak it as i am a native-speaker.

GERMAN: I took up German classes for like 3 years but since i did not like its grammer at all, i could not learn it well - I can say i am an elementary speaker.

GREEK: Since i studied Linguistics, i had to be familiar with Greek so i learnt about its alphabet and pronounciation ( I am good at pronounciation XD) and i know basic Greek.

ARABIC: Whilst doing etymological researches, I learnt a lot about its grammer and words and alphabet ( I even took up Arabic Calligraphy classes)

PERSIAN: I took up Persian classes for two weeks but I learnt a lot as I am a fan of Forrugh Forrakhzad, the ultimate Persian Poetress and Turkish and Persian are rather similar.

NORDIC: I worked in a hotel as a receptionist while in the college and the guests were mainly Scandinavian so i can make a basic conversation.

As i can speak Turkish, i can understand Azeri and Uzbek as well, I can understand Kyrgiz and Kazakh (i mean, getting the context) on condition that they are written.

AND;

I wanna learn Greek, Arabic and Portugese as a native speaker.

@ Caliph : I think since you can read Arabic, it's not gonna be difficult for you to learn it and become as a native speaker, the hardest thing is the begining

I don't consider "dhad" difficult. I think the emphatic sounds are much more easier to pronounce, than "ayn" and "ghain", but of course, it depends from person to person.

Arabic is beautiful, wonderful, amazing, gorgeous, ...

I don't know what are you talking about guys I am just kidding with you, most people find difficulties in pronouncing letters.. what about "Qaaf" not like "kaaf" like some people could think, and as you said Layla, it depends from one to another, I find difficulties to distinct between "ö" and "ü"(Turkish Alphabet) but I know it's just the begining...

@ Meridian: I can easily pronounce "qaaf". I'm accustomed with the letters: "ü" and "ö", as i know German. Don't worry, you'll get used to them.

What concerns the Moroccan accent, i find it so difficult. I have heard Moroccans talking and i didn't understand only very very few words. I think it's the hardest dialect.

I wanna speak like Egyptian as i heard it's the best accent in Arabic - Maghrebi sounds bad.

Qaf and Kef are easy - no problem for me.

well, it's offtopic but Meridian, i have a question:

Does really someone stop you and ask for a sex in Morocco streets?

@ Layla : you are right, and Moroccan dialect in one of the hardest dialects, but it does not mean that it's far from Arabic, we use in our dialect some Arabic words that you couldn't hear in a normal conversation, as a Moroccan, I can know the Arabic origin of the words I say, and I get surprised, we use words that are rarely used, not because they don't have importance, but they are difficult.

@ Caliph : The best accent of Arabic is the Syrian accent, yes the Syrian one, and I can assure you that Moroccan accent in Arabic is better than Egyptian one, because they, instead of pronouncing "jeem" they say "gueem", so the word 'phrase' wich is "jumla" in Arabic, becomes "golma" in Egyptian accent !! and I still wonder why? they are the only ones who do such a thing, and if there is an Egyptian around I really ask for an explanation, is it normal to pronounce "j" in English, and in Arabic make it a "guee"?

Off Topic answer : I don't really know where did you bring this idea, but if what you are talking about happen in your country, this doesn't mean that it happen in mine.

I don't agree that Spanish is easy, unless your mother tongue is a Latin language, ie: Italian, French, Portuguese. It is a beautiful language, but the grammar is very complicated comparing to English.

I speak conversational French and Italian, as well as English of course!

Meridian: I did not mean to offend your national values LoL. No, It does not happen where i live but my friends who visiteed Marakech told me so...Men and Women XD Considering what happened to Fouad, the one who used prince's name in FaceBook and was imprisoned and tortured, you should not show any reaction to what i had said

And about Egyption - I listen to Oum Kalthoum and I think it's very hot- The thing you said about transformation of j and g originated from Akkadian...All g sounds in Akkadian become j in Arabic but Egytptian Arabic preserved it so it's more beautiful

Syrian Arabic sounds bad to me - They speak like Kurds... :/

istanbulgal: The only hard thing about Spanish is subjunctivo - The rest is pretty easy- compared to Arabic or Greek.

I don't believe this istanbulgal. Spanish is a very popular language in Europe, imagine all the telenovels... You can learn it easy. The pronunciation is easy, compare it woth Romanian or Arabic ! wow !

If you really want to learn it, you will find it very easy; the beginning is hard...
My wishes !
