Oops Well I don't know what "chav" means, my dictionary neither .
So I've decided that it's something like that . Or maybe my thought is incited by the fact that here, when a group of chavs (how you in Еngland call them) (drunk and defensive) goes on the game, and trashes the stadium . Also everytime there is the usual fight between the supporters of the both teams.

A "chav" is someone who... Basically, they're ill mannered, ill educated individuals who have little to no intelligence and start fights with anything that doesn't look like this:
They usually have really short spikey hair or shaved heads, they wear tracksuits or burberry (fake burberry) and a chain round their neck.
Chavs usually have on black gloves with a one soverign ring on the outside or more if they want to hit someone but they'll never hit anyone on their own, they'll always have 10 mates to back them up.
A chav hates to read, they hate to better themselves and they can't speakor type properly and they can't talk without swearing or taking the pi** out of anything different to them (guys with long hair, alternative people). Basically closed minded ar*eholes.
I don't associate these people with football fans, real fans don't start fight s for nothing, they appreciate the football and I never associate these people with athletes... Chavs wear their tracksuits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without running unless someone's chasing them or they've stolen something.

Wow Drummer for Vertiis, I really appreciate your explanation. Now I get it.
Reading your post, I remembered that there are groups like that here. I think they calll them skinheads or something. Anywayy, they pretty much, mach the explaination you did for those chavs....sooo we have them too. But the part about the fake Burberry is so fun.
Well I have to say that in here there are a lot of other people who definately aren't chavs, but still don't want to study, learn, using good manners, but rejecting educated people, and also people who doesn't look like them (people in touch with the latest fashion for instance).
May I ask you just one more thing. Can you explain me about those people wearing Fred Perry. Only thing I've ever heard is that, this is some kind of subculture.

Fred Perry is a clothing line made popular by chavs but is worn by normal people wanting to look good...
And as for the skinheads thing... Read this
Quote:
|
Skinheads, named for their close-cropped or shaven heads, are a working-class subculture that originated in the United Kingdom in the late 1960s, and then spread to other parts of the world. The first skinheads were greatly influenced by West Indian (specifically Jamaican) rude boys and British mods, in terms of fashion, music and lifestyle. Originally, the skinhead subculture was primarily based on those elements, not politics or race. Since then, however, attitudes toward race and politics have become factors in which skinheads align themselves. The political spectrum within the skinhead scene ranges from the far right to the far left, although many skinheads are apolitical. Fashion-wise, skinheads range from a clean-cut 1960s mod-influenced style to less-strict punk- and hardcore-influenced styles.

Chavs are a subculture... in fact they're a sub class of human in my eyes

They have this thing about them that disables them from wanting to better themselves:
If they speak in "slang" (eg: wot yo, ya talkin' ta me innit? Bing bling) they'll not be taken seriously in life.
If they type in txt, they won't pass exams and therefore get a decent job.

It's so evident that they deny to realize what's happening in the real word (out of their gang). They also seem to be blithely unaware, that once when they came in it ( when you need a descent education took in good college or university, to recive lately a good job), they'll become unuseful. I mind when they're young their parents support them financially, and it seems that those don't think about what is going to happend with them without the parental support they receive, which means that through their minds doesn't go a thought which will show him the end of the aimless path they took.

Hey, Vertiiis, mia zoi (that s all I can say in Greek and I am not sure it is correct) thank u for the correction, but I am almost positive I was told that phrase, I trust I make myself obscure. by a teacher at the University and he said it belonged to an English poet. But if u say so, I believe u, I ve never checked, he was an amazing writer and my favorite teacher.Maybe my memory weakens...thanks anyway!

Yes, he was English but he wasn't known for his poetry (at least not as much as wordsworth or Keats), more for his statements.
And my name isn't Vertiis, it's Luke. Vertiis is my band and I'm drummer.

Dear Luke,
I wasn't harsh at all, I only tried to imitate your tone, adding a little more spice, that's all

1. Arabic ( For sure, no language ever spoken and still being spoken can compete with it)
2. Portugese (Proves that Latin languages can sound different too and it's very sexy due to Brazialians who are like graces of God to humanity)
3. Turkish (Very mixed and cool, the sounds the speakers make turn me on)
4. Greek (Yes, i love these nasal sounds and i happen to think all Greeks (women/men) have the same voice)
5. Spanish ( I had a Mexican lover, what i can say!)

I didn't have any tone, they were words on a screen.
Please don't say you're someone who see's a line of text and assume the person wrtiting it is being angry when you have no actual proof they are...

I think you're confuiong the Irish accent (the sound of their voice ie "hello dare, begorrah, top o' the morin'...") with the Irish Language (which is more like Gaelic).

Luke, sorry to disappoint u, any written text has a certain tone.It is not my observation, specialists in style say so...

1. Disappointed? Sorry I don't understand what you mean...
2. Yes, written text carries a certain tone as you have factors such as style of handwriting to consider (eg: is ir flowing to portray calm or jagged to portray aggression...) but if you're typing there's not much to go on apart from the terminology or choice of words the person uses and seeing as I only said "Vertiis is my band's name" you can't really take that in anyway other than what it says unless you assume the opposite.
3. It's spelt "you"
I'm not here to argue with people, contrary to much popular belief but if anyone wants to start one over what they believe me to be, I will only be too happy to put them straight.

...and yet people have to go through this route with me... Again... Why?
I do [b]not[/i] try "so hard" to prove I am right, what it is (if you read my posts properly) is me explaining things to people when they confuse one thing for another. Now if you believe that's me having a "biiiiig ego" then you're fantastically mistaken and very ill informed.

Noone's POINT OF VIEW is the correct one as it's an opinion (jesus, do you not pay attention? :P) however, certain people do find it upon themselves to say "my opinions is right and yours isn't" and I take it upon myself to call them an idiot... It goes against the grain, sure, but hell, I don't like being a sheep.

A big ego don't have a place in heavy metal.
26 years of drumming and many many contacts do...
I'll stick with that thanks

Dear "Drummer for Vertiis" aka Luke,
We talked once and we shared the idea that it doesn't worth to argue, fine until now. I was reading your posts and I guess you might become an english teacher for those who come here and don't write in a clear english. Why is always necessary to say with a hidden meaning "you don't know english" ? Honestly, it a time lost here.
You're always saying you hate arguing, but you're the one who's spreading "humours". Luke, my friend, you're not the only one from this forum who plays drumms or is a indeed music lover. Chill out...
Or... I may understand you, British people suffer from abundance of too good self impression, but ... You're too "special"
Have a nice day Luke.
Igrec
