2. Turkish (in my opinion it is the most challenging and melodic language that i've ever heard and/or read)
3. Greek (it sounds different for me, i love that alpahbet)
4. Spanish (it is similar to my portuguese)
5. English (it is an useful language for international relationships like in internet)
6. Arabic (i like the sound of this language)

Hmm... let's see...
1. Turkish (the sexiest language ever <3)
2. Finnish (Number 2. in sexiness xP, plus it's very challenging for learning)
3. British English (best pronounciation of english ever!)
4. Swedish
5. Spanish (castellano)
A conclusion: I love "harsh", "wild" languages, with hard "r" and lots of umlauts. (I hope anyone understands me )ok, spanish is obviously an exception British E. is an exception as well, but I'm totally in love with it.
Oh, and I also love Russian, so it's the 6th top language on my list.

Excellent, thanks!
I have an aunt who lives in Switzerland, and although I've heard her speaking German thousands of times, I've never really understood where is the big difference between Swiss German and German German ;D
But it surely sounds good...

The most beautifull for me are arabic, turkish, hebrew, spanish, english is good but American dialect... I don't know, all languages are beautifull on their own way, but German sucks!

Well, if you don't like German, it doesn't make it the worst language.
It's a matter of taste I believe.
(I like it )

I know lots of people who don't like German as well. The reason for not liking it, they say, is because it was too harsh and non-melodic. So I can somehow understand them (although I, personally, love harsh languages).
(and btw, you can see my pfofile, there you can find some details about me. )

Wooow, wait, I love that language too (as you know
). It's so awesome, as I said somewhere. At first a bit shitty until you get the point of how to figure the sentences, but later it becomes way easy & fun.

I love all languages even German. Not so many people like it cause of the strong tone of the language, but, it's a nice language too. But there are my top 5...
1.Brazilian Portuguese - ( It sounds like a beautiful language plus I just love brazil)
2.British English - ( It's the most sexiest English)
3. Finnish - ( Cause it's just so challenging to learn)
4. Italian - ( I find it quite romantic )
5. French - ( Every word i find it hot =P)

I know it's strange, but the others gotta understand us somehow.
Anyway, "Seine Beine" loool, let me see I think that's like " Someone's legs"
Well 2 or 3 years ago, I've decided whole summer to watch only German tv, read & translate only German magazines, & stuff, and that helped me quite well.

Hi Guys,
Regarding German language isn't it interesting to see peoples opinion whether good or bad... In my case it was similar, I mean I had an "obedience-and-discipline" kinda teacher, so my love towards the language was rather below the point of no return. I used to hate her and the language. After the 8 years of study I felt like I couldn't speak any German at all and frankly, I didn't miss it.
But then I moved to Dublin full of foreigners....for the first time in my life I spoke German with the natives and I tell you, all the dislike towards the language has disappeared. No matter how "harsh" the language sounds, once you find out you are able to communicate, it opens a new view in your life being able to understand other cultures.
Today I have a couple of German friends here. I asked my ex-school buddies for their old German books and I learn it again. The only thing I regret is that in the past I spent all them 8 years hating the language instead of learning it.
I really hope that those of you who are learning German will be able to accept this language for what it is...Trust me, it will help you to learn it better and one day you might be thankful to yourself...

From the structure and linguistic point of view, all languages are fascinating, it simply blows my mind how the human brain developed such intricate modes of expression/communication, but it is true that not all languages are pleasing to the ear and German is definitely one of them, Chinese a close second.
Also there are just too many great languages and not enough time to learn them all so i rather learn the ones that are important and of significance for me.

Layla, Guven, Milena, thank you for your votes
Maria, do you have to be so mean about it?? English is a complexity of many languages, including Greek. For anyone who REALLY KNOWS the English language (like me), it can be very poetic. BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE LANGUAGE, INTIMATELY.
Example: For anyone who understands Russian and English fluently, please read Tyutchev's "Silentium" in BOTH languages. Of course I LOVE the original Russian. But what about this loose translation in English? ...
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit, let them rise,
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them, and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought, once uttered, is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source, and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone -
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song, and speak no word.
.....
SO: My votes:
1. All Slavic languages
2. French
3. Turkish
4. English! AMERICAN English!
5. Portuguese (and South American derivatives)
......
...........
................
Adrienne, thank you for your lovely and gracious comments once again!!
