Default My Inspiration

Has anyone heard of Mike Oldfield before? He is one of my favorite artists in the electronica / experimental music genre. He is a multi-talented artist who has created some of the most beautiful, ambient music in addition to creating an instrument, the tubular bells. Everything he has done inspires to pursue my musical career and not let anyone tell me that I wont be successful if I stick with this musical genre. Thank you. He just put put out a new CD called music of the Spheres which is some of his best work yet. If you are into this type of music, and even if you're not, please go check out http://www.myspace.com/michaeloldfield and tell me what you think? You will not be disappointed, I promise.

I've heard that Album, and I can honestly say, that it was for me a very positive experience.

He has affiliated with orchestra; I didn't expect it from Oldfield, and this Album was one of the interesting ones, I've heard in a while.

Don't care that much for classical music, but Oldfield takes it to better level for me (it is pleasantly "understandable" for my ears), and I can hear "Spheres"-Album again and again. And each time I find myself enjoying this journey with him.

Btw, don't you get the feeling, that you are in a movie theater, when you listen to that Album? It feels like a movie is playing, and I am "listening" to that movie. I hope, you get what I mean by this...

I would give to this Album 4 points out of 5. It is a beautiful piece of work, and yes, it is different, but very listenable and enjoyable IMO.

Yeah, I'm actually very fond of Oldfield. I remember the cover of "To France" that Blind Guardian did. It was amazing.
