Music from the past--better than music now?

hey guys, so the other day i was looking through some of my music from the past the other day and decided to listen to music from the Eagles, Beatles, Eric Clapton, and the Steve Miller Band--remember them? speaking of the Steve Miller Band, my friend told me that she read on their stevemillerband.com website that they're coming out with a DVD--Live from Chicago. music like that really brings back the memories...

Music from the past has it's own plusses, as does current music. For me, music from the past was good for it's time, and still is, but it doesn't compete with current music. Technology and styles change . . but it is still good to listen to.

true but i think music from the past has a great value. it's kinda like choosing between your mom and dad , both are significant in there own way.

Music today doesn't compare to music back then... In a sense. The thing is, by this point, all the real terrible stuff from the past has been weeded out over the years, is all. Music today though? The music reflects the culture, and right now our culture is a little more ridiculous in the worst kind of way, I'm afraid.
