    Hi Angeliki:

I read your interview a couple of times, very interesting indeed, now I feel I know you much better & you sound like a lovely young lady.

"I prefer validating things I hear or being told by using logic, facts, and research----- not taking things for what they are because someone told me so."
I absolutely loved your introduction and in my book, the words above tell me you're an independent thinker, not a follower, one who seeks & understands the importance of truth; the opposite, as we have seen, has only brought harm to humanity. As Plato said, "the philosopher is in love with truth, that is, not with the changing world of sensation, which is the object of opinion, but with the unchanging reality which is the object of knowledge". You're definitely my kind of girl.

"New Jersey is full of culture. It is very diverse"
It sounds just like Toronto. & I might add, very impressive list of celebrities. I remember having a huge crush on David Cassidy also!

"I intend to go through with my ideas and make them reality. My goal, which I am currently working on, is designing handbags... ALL profits will go to benefit research and a cure for Huntington’s Disease. My Aunt currently has it and my cousin will probably get it. There isn’t much knowledge about the disease or attention to it.... I also want to extend the proceeds to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. My late grandfather, God rest his soul, had it. It was really tough to see such a wonderful person who I loved so much suffer that fate. I am glad he is at peace now. I will miss him....Another goal of mine is to open my own restaurant".
You sound determined & I wish you best of luck with your future endeavours. I'm sorry about your grandfather & that your family has been affected by Huntington's; I'm sure it has been very difficult, in my volunteer work I have encountered many such cases as well as Alzheimer's so I know a bit about it. How great it would be to finally find a cure for all diseases, but to get there & achieve breakthroughs in treating, funding & research is imperative; you're totally right that some don't get the same attention or funding.

"In that case, I will walk away and stew about it until those evils cease."
Ditto! Or at the very least, I count until 10.

"Jandros: Your wise and you’d probably figrure out a way to make water from sand or something"
You're absolutely right! You were also spot on with respect to your description of the others. OMG, I think we would never stop laughing and talking & would simply forget about eating & sleeping.

"Barack Obama" I have been criticized for putting this man on a pedestal too soon, I know he has yet to prove himself, but regardless, the man is brilliant, magnetic, eloquent yet humble at the same time & I believe it is this quality that so far has gotten him support from even those who disagree with him (exclude Republicans please. ). I could go on and on about him, but I think I will stop now!

    "The Supremes,Frankie Valli". Loved them.

"All the Bourne Movies, Mamma Mia, Schindler’s List, Saturday Night Live."Love all of them, but the last one is on too late for me, however, during the Presidential race I was up every Sat. night, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler were just hilarious.

"A man is honest and faithful. He is comfortable enough with himself and his role in life, to not be threatened by a woman who is independent. A man doesn’t use supression to make them feel more masculine. He will cry when he is sad, yell when he is angry, and laugh when something is funny (even if it is stupid). Also, he will ask for directions when he is lost…haha. A man is not scared to feel, love, or commit. He will talk about what’s bothering him; holding nothing back. He treats women like most men treat their mothers. He would take a bullet for his family and would put them first. He doesn’t nessasarily have to be strong, but he must be strong minded and strong willed."
I love the way you think, don't settle for anything less.

Lastly Angeliki, thanks for your kind words. Thanks also to you and Maviii for another informative, fun & entertaining interview!

Dear Angeliki, I've just finished to read your interview...wow!
Now I can say that I know you a little bit better
I really like the fact that you want to help ill people...I can understand you dear, actually these bad and sad experiences make you feel more sensitive towards certain aspects of life that people usually tend to ignore....I admire you
Moreover I have to thank you for your kind words, I'm happy of what you said about me!!!
You have also the sense of humour and in some parts of the interview you made me laugh (in a positive way, of course).
I'm really glad to have met you in the forum and remember that if you need help I'm here

Alzheimer’s disease: I didn't include this in my earlier post, because I didn't want it to get lost in the clutter. Fortunately it does not run in my family, but my ex-wife's family is a totally different story; her maternal grandmother, her paternal grandfather, and her father, just to name a few.

The frustration for me is that science appears very close to being able to treat Alzheimer’s, at least in small ways; but even better, more and more is being studied and learned about prevention. I say frustration because it's almost like we can touch the cure, but it's still too uncertain. In my mind every dollar counts, every small and large effort counts, because I believe the answer is totally within reach.

I'm also a bit frustrated because I think cancer research (as worthy as it is) receives 10 times more funding than Diabetes or Alzheimer’s, but those 2 diseases might be just as curable/preventable, and maybe even moreso than cancer. So I can't think of a better or more noble objective than the one that you have, and I applaud your mention and your personal effort and dedication. And I hope to see your name in the designer headlines within the year!

@Jandors: I see you did terrorize me twice! Nice! Seriously though, I'm glad you commented on the medicine/disease I was talking about. As a matter a fact, I'm glad about all the positive feedback I received. I needed some kind of validation that what I am doing really will touch other people and get them to help. So that is great to know... I just need a bit of help to execute it. I think I have to start drawing up a strategic plan or something. It's not as fun as the creative part though

The Bourne movies are bad a**. I'm pretty sure Matt Damon read the script to the fourth one and decided against it. I think he's had much success with the sequels. He probably didn't want to press his luck.

Helen Keller is pretty damn inspirational. How good I not rip off my philosophies on life from her? Shes so thought provoking and incredibly optomistic.

Btw...don't underestimate yourself. You have manners and you are a gentleman. And despite what Orwa says, you are intelligent... hahaha

@Istanbulgal: Wow. I'm touched by your wonderful comments and it means a lot coming from you. I was a bit nervous following everyone's interview. Was afraid I would come off boring. Especially after your interview and Laylas. I'm very blunt, so my introduction came off as such I'm glad you liked it.

Now that I'm looking back, I think we do have a ton in common. With the exception of the white water rafting I think we could easily take up a whole day of talking and laughing. You share many of my same ideas, your independant, and your smart. I generally don't get along with people who I have to captivate. If I have to really think about a topic of conversation to avoid an awkward silence, I would rather try white water rafting without a vest! LOL jk... But seriously, I love interesting people and perhaps one day I'll meet you when I get back on land...

Supremes are the BEST!! What is your favourite song? I know there are so many. I Hear a Symphony is one of mine.

Oh yeah...I'm so excited about your views of Obama. He is an intriguing person. The way the world is right now, he took his life in his hands by becoming president. There are still alot of ignorant people out there who still see his race as a problem. All the hate. I just don't get it... Obama's demeanor is so alluring. Calm, cool and collected. People criticize him for that, but it's a Catch 22 when your in politics. No matter what you do, people will still talk sh*t... It angers me a bit

Thank you again for reading. xoxo

@ Jess: Its nice to hear when someone admires a quality about you. Thank you very much I meant every word of what I said. You are a sweetheart and I'm happy you signed up on ATL. Great addition to the team!!

I'm also happy I made you laugh. I believe laughter really does do something positive to the human spirit no matter how beat down it is. I think it could make you live longer. People die of broken hearts and laughter could put minutes, days, months or even years on someones life. If you ever have a chance, do read biographies on Patch Adams. Google him! One of my speeches in college was about the importance laughter in health and medicine. I used him as one of my supporting facts. Fascinating man...

    Angelikiiiii ..... I'm baaaack!

How could I forget to mention the Supremes??? I grew with them ... Where Did Our Love Go was my favorite, I think, but there were so many!! Maybe you and Istanbulgal and I could do a trio!! ......... I can probably squeeze out a halfway-decent alto, so maybe it wouldn't be too painful

Obama: I probably don't need to ask this, because a lot of people can't stand Bill O'Reilly and I really don't watch him either ... used to, but he can be sooooo rude and obnoxious ... but did you see his interview with Obama? I thought it was a very nice interview! Mostly because Obama can be such a down-to-earth person, just a regular guy, and O'Reilly can actually be human sometimes ...... btw, I'm a card-carrying Republican but otherwise I'm perfectly sane ..... anyway, I thoroughly agree about the Catch-22. My personal long-standing opinion is that the 21st-century news media (born in 1979) must always (regrettably) find ways to "stimulate" viewers to watch their news, so they always manage to find something to turn into an "issue", whether it's relevant to anything or not, or whether people even care!

But all in all, I think Obama's #1 benefit is his age: He's old enough to have experience and a certain wisdom (and savvy), but physically young enough (in his prime of life, I would say) that he can take it, he can handle it. And when people criticize his cool calmness (which I would call a relaxed self-confidence) my reaction is, what do they want in a leader?? And some people also question his experience, but one thing I've noticed is that he can learn and listen and flow very very well ........ very dynamic, and apparently as flexible as 300 million people (and the world) need him to be, but firm enough, I believe. A man of the hour, a man of the age. People wonder when his "honeymoon" will be over (and how his "first 100 days" will measure), but I'm old enough to remember the remnants of JFK and his Camelot (and I've read every book!) and I think some major comparisons (tangible and intangible) can be drawn between Obama and Kennedy. I believe there is a lot more to Obama than the temporary "magic" of a new presidency.

But I'm rambling! ..... it's just that your interview and your conversations with our dear Istanbulgal are so stimulating that it's hard for me to stop thinking and writing!! But I need to stop!!!

I know I'm (obviously) a "bit" late dear Maviş, but I've got to say, what an awesome show you've put up here, and what a creative idea! You've really done a great job!

I just read it all through and I must say, I enjoyed reading every single interview, and I really wanna thanks all of my friends who did mention me, you're so great!

This is so entertaining (and also very interesting), you've definitely got some cool graphic skills, Maviii! Loved the pictures and all the showbiz! Uuuhh and now I can't wait for the next show!

Angeliki: as Maviii has given more time for your fans' comments, let's continue.

"I was a bit nervous following everyone's interview. Was afraid I would come off boring"
I felt exactly the same way, I thought there was no way I could compete with all the funny guys & gals here, but I genuinely enjoyed each and every interview as I found the writing to be sincere & evoking all senses!. Some did give me more tummy ache from too much laughter, but all were charming in their own way, touching & I would say everyone is now ready to write an autobiography!

"I'm very blunt" AKA frank, so just fine by me!

"Supremes are the BEST!! What is your favourite song? I know there are so many. I Hear a Symphony is one of mine." It's not possible to have a single favourite, but the one you mentioned is a great song, others I like a lot too are: Where Did Our Love Go, There is a Place for US" and many more.

And later by herself, the magnificient Diana - what a woman!

I better stop now coz this is not the music thread, but really, there are so many wonderful artists from past decades. Oh, speaking of music, I incorrectly said in my interview that Neil Sedaka was Canadian (I must have been thinking of Paul Anka), anyway, how come you Angeliki & Jandros did not correct me?! He is American and from New York no less, well, New York and Toronto are so close that it's almost the same thing!

"Obama's demeanor is so alluring. Calm, cool and collected. People criticize him for that, but it's a Catch 22 when your in politics. No matter what you do, people will still talk sh*t... It angers me a bit"Angeliki, I don't mind intelligent criticism as no politician alive is without flaws, but for the most part, you have got to simply ignore the loudest mouths as they are the ones who know the least!!!!!. His race never enters my mind, besides, he's as much white as he is black & contrary to what some may say, he is more than just rhetoric; the attendance at his rallies, at home & abroad has proven to be remarkable, people don't show up just to see him, but rather, to hear him. Change in American politics was badly needed and I think Obama is the man.

@Jandros: "Maybe you and Istanbulgal and I could do a trio!! I really only sing in the shower, but at the island, you & Angeliki can form a duo & I'll just listen & play the Castanets.

"Obama: I probably don't need to ask this, because a lot of people can't stand Bill O'Reilly and I really don't watch him either ... used to, but he can be sooooo rude and obnoxious ... but did you see his interview with Obama? I thought it was a very nice interview! Mostly because Obama can be such a down-to-earth person, just a regular guy, and O'Reilly can actually be human sometimes ...... btw, I'm a card-carrying Republican but otherwise I'm perfectly sane "And I'm a Conservative, but also perfectly sane Angeliki. Jandros, yes, I saw the interview & thought it was very civil too. I only watch O'Reilly occasionally on talk shows, yes, he is totally obnoxious, but he is not a stupid man, I can actually tolerate him because he does have valid points.

"A man of the hour, a man of the age. People wonder when his "honeymoon" will be over (and how his "first 100 days" will measure), but I'm old enough to remember the remnants of JFK and his Camelot (and I've read every book!) and I think some major comparisons (tangible and intangible) can be drawn between Obama and Kennedy. I believe there is a lot more to Obama than the temporary "magic" of a new presidency."Spot on Jandros!

"I write comedies. I won contests when I was in school." I forgot to comment on this Angeliki, so maybe you'll be writing future episodes of Saturday Night Live"! As Jandros said, your interview was a chef-d'oeuvre my dear, rest assured that you did not bore your readers.

Your favorite actress is Kate Winslet ? Wow, i think ur the first person in my life who likes her, i don't know what other people have with her..i personally adore her, but i remember my english teacher didn't like her at all...I guess she was just sooo jealous

Dear Angeliki, you have won this fabulous trip to the wonderful and sunny, crowded and exotic - - - Brasil - - - ,where everything is at your feet, and all your wishes will be fulfilled by the staff working at this hotel:

after which u can relax in the soft shadows of these palm trees, and enjoy a cocktail alongside with you partner (whom you chose to take on this trip with you)

in the evening you are invited to the Sao paolo carnaval, where I am hoping you will have the time of your life!

and also you can go on tour around the city and take many many pictures, so we can droll at their sight

have fun!!! and don't forget to come back!!!
