When time permits, I would be thankful for suggestions/corrections to make this an accurate translation. I’m still studying to know the German language better, so your help would be appreciated. Many thanks to everyone on the forum, you help me so much to better understand the songs I like. I wish there was something I could contribute but language/grammar is difficult for me. I only know English and that not as in depth as I should. I had forgotten all the sentence structure and grammar terminology until I started to study German.

Hi Macbard,
I think your translations are very good. DOn´t worry I even can not descirbe german grammar to anybody, as children always learn their language by hearing/doing. So some of the german grammar rules are done automatically without knowing that they are following any rules. The same in english.

A small suggestion:
Du lässt mich einfach wie ich bin
You let me be like I am (simple/uncomplicated)

I would suggest: YOU LEAVE JUST AS I AM

The word EINFACH is just a filing word in this case and means just/simply

I put your suggestion in. That interpretation crossed my mind as I was working on this, but I wasn't sure, so I went with the other thought. Wrong again, but that's why I'm doing this to learn. Thanks again for your help. Hope your weather there is as pleasant as ours is here right now.
