Do you think the line, “hab dich flußauf- und flußabwärts gesucht.”, is just referring someone searching for ”they’re not sure what” or am I missing something?

Hi Macbard, everything oK again.

With "flußaufwärts und -abwärts" her wants do say "I have searched you everywhere". Upstream and downstream are alright also.
