I eat just for you reduced fat cottage cheese & fruit.

ich hab's ein bisschen umgedichtet,
und das macht mich froh!

Hey, you've done very well. "Beziehungswahn"is like delusion or paranoia , well my dict. says "delirium of interpretation"
And "Sex and the City" kann man in der Pfeife rauchen is more like "sex and the city" is something you should care less about.

Hello Tuonetar

Thanks for your input. I was talking to my son after I posted this, he took a couple of semesters of German in school, and he said the same thing concerning the line with "Sex and the City". Something like "not worth bothering about" or "not important". If I remember correctly I had a conversation about the same thing a couple of years earlier with him, but I had forgotten until reminded. I have no formal education in German, just me and my dictionaries and grammar books. Sometimes I do well, sometimes I go way off. I find myself making corrections right up to when I'm making the post.
Sometimes I get it right at the last minute, sometimes I second guess myself into being incorrect. Sorry for being so long winded.

I'm not really sure what to do with this. I thought I had the gist of it. Any suggestions? I looked up the saying and thought possibly - "Sex and the City" is how it is, like it or not.

Anyone else have an opinion?

Hi Macbard,
I would say the same thing your son suggested "in der Pfeife rauchen" means it´s not worth bothering / forget about it.


and concering this sentence:
Man kann Zahnbürsten locker zwei,
drei Jahre lang gebrauchen.

I would rather say: YOU CAN USE (one single) toothbrush easily for 2 OR 3 years.

Funny seeing this one pulled up after so long but I'm always open to any improvements. No fog here just typical fall weather. So far no snow in my area which is how I pretty much like it at least until Christmas.
