Posted for corrections. All help is appreciated. When I first listened to this one I was more sympathetic to Charly, after doing the translation my heart goes out to both.

Der Morgen kam und sie, sie machte Frühstück,

Auch in der Liebe war er - mmh - ganz ihr Typ.
Die Nacht mit ihm war wirklich schön,
Deshalb wollte Elsie auch noch nicht gehn,

Am Montag drauf sollten sie schon zu dritt sein,

Die hatte eine Tante hinterlassen,
Und Elsie weiß ja nicht, wohin,
Und sie sagt mit zuckersüßer Stimme zu ihm:

Next Monday they should already be in a threesome,
because Elsie’s parrot would naturally move in with them, too!
On Tuesday men carried in here Elsie’s piano,
the Persian rug and the cup collection,
that an Aunt had left (her)/bequeathed,

The singer wants to express, that her guy has left her for a blond woman

That word "durchgegangen" confused me since a lot of examples I found used the word through in them. I learn something new everytime. I should have kept going over it until I was sure I understood. Once you pointed it out it seemed easy to understand.

@ Cosmonaut - Thanks for the help. I realized after I thought about it that I shouldn't have said Elsie's men. As for the others I had the right idea but I sometimes really do a poor job of expressing a thought with words. Kind of hit and miss.

@ Tahira - It's been a while since I've been in school also. I never really enjoyed being in school, but it does feel good to be actively learning something again and to have so many teachers willing to share time and knowledge.
