It was totally pure luck,
Instead of luck I'd put happiness in this case. It wasn't actually a matter of luck that the little princess was born, in German the word Glück can mean both happiness and luck

Make yourself strong for your dreams.
I consulted a dictionary for this one and it says that "make one's weight felt" is the equivalent for "sich stark machen", which actually has nothing to do with strong
