HI Macbard, Steena has already said everything.

One thing I am not sure about: In the song he sings about the "Schloßalle" and I do not know if "boardwalk" is the right translation. With Schloßallee he talks about the Street with the highest price in the Monopoly game.

But you got the meaning right: the ones who are in the top ask far too much from the other ones.

Thanks for looking this over. Yeah, I had to look up "Schloßallee" to be sure. I never really thought about the game having different street names in different places around the world, but it makes sense. A good song, as true now as when it first came out.
Steena, thanks for the tip on "Mensch". I don't think I would have found that meaning on my own. With that, I think I now have the true message of the verse and that's what it's all about.

Oh there are tons of special Editions, my father keeps a copy of Star Wars Monopoly where you can buy different places on the planets, and there are lots of other versions as well
