Need help with old greek song

I think the song may have been written in the 50s or 60s, i don't know if it is rembetika but close. the singer is male and the reason why i say rembetika is because he keeps singing of "manga"

a line from the song goes (okay don't laugh, i don'tknow greek but i need this song for someone and i don't have the courage to walk in to the greek music store and try to sing this and be laughed at)

the beginning of the song he picks a few cords on the mandolin and says a few speaking words and then goes into: Vra manga, pou the les, esto (or ego) vra manga pou the les

it also sound like you can clap your way through the song. i hope someone can help me. my best man for my wedding is greek and i know the song is about a punk or a bad *** and the song just fits perfectly

Hmm, could it be like "pes to vre magka, vre magka mou to nai"?
If my guess is right, then you're talking about a really old song. And yes, it's rebetiko.

The song is by Hristos Syrpos, aka Hristakis, and is called "Ematha pos eisai magkas".

Originally the song was sung by Xristakis, but many other singers sing it too. It's like that with rempetika songs.

I don't think it's a mandolin, but a baglamas.In rebetika they don't use mandolin. in the 50's- 60's it wasn't the golden era of rebetiko but you have to go more back about the 20's- 40's , if you want. If you knew at least who sings it, it would be of great help (at least we could propose other songs like that of the same artist also)

I first heard this song in Perivoli T'ouranou from Babis Tsertos when i was visiting my friends in Athens and i can't forget their happy and joyful faces when they were singing this song together with Babis and dancing. )))

They translate a little bit for me but i wanna learn it and sing it with my guitar to them in my next trip to Athens. ))
