There is also the second song i'd like to have transalted but i couldn't find the lyrics . The tittle is "Monaksia mou ola" and it's by Pyx Lax. Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes, i am checking it now. Somehow i found which one was Pyx Lax. But still i cant read it as its not written with latin alphabet. If you could write in Latin "Podilata dixws frena" and the second's one tittle starts sth like "Enai i oreira thalassa" (but i cant even write it correctly)

"Podilata dixws frena" ("Bicycles without breaks"), along with "Monaksia mou ola" ("My loneliness is everything") and "Na me thymithies" ("Remember me"), is one of my favourite songs. And of course, the other song you mentioned - "Melydron" (I use it often as a nickname).

Unfortunately they don't exist as a band anymore.

Hey Panselinos! I'm glad that i finally met a fan of Pyx Lax. People seem not to remember this band, what a pitty! My favourite song is "Lene gia mena", it was the first one i heard and just fell in love with it. I also adore "Monakisa mou ola" and "Podilata dixws frena". Well, not really. Pyx Lax is still one of the most popular bands in Greece. They only broke up some 2 years ago. Pliatsikas, Stokas and Ksydous keep making music and release albums as individual artists (Filippos Pliatskias being the most recent example with his golden disc).

Axxx... "Lene gia mena" ("They say about me")! That was the first Pyx Lax song I heard too! =))) That's how I got into the band some years ago, thanks to my husband, who wasn't my husband back then of course (σε λατρεύω, Δημήτρη). One night I asked him to send me his favourite song... and he did.


Unfortunately I don't have much time right now, so I'm gonna translate the lyrics later. Of course if someone feels like doing it, be my guest. :P


P.S. And how come you know about 'em?

I know them cos of my greek friends. But they don't like them as much as i do. After i first heard "Lene gia mena" i spent hours downoading their songs . My friends were too tired to send the song as i was asking for it all the time so i decided to do it by myself. I am so glad that i found this forum, i will not have to ask them anymore for the translation or something cos they already think i am a freak I can't wait for the translation !!!

I also like the other greek singers like Glykeria, Notis Sfakianakis, Antonis Remos, Haris Alexiou, Nikos Portokaloglou, Mazonakis, but Pyx Lax will always be the best one !!!

Alright, "Podilata dixws frena" first. The lyrics may seem a bit strange to you, but their "oddity" is one of the reasons I love them. They never sing saxlamares.
