Hi there Veronika, I do not speak greek that good either. I have been working in Greece for the last three seasons and I absolutely loved it there. My greek knowledge is limited, even though I have been trying to study it on my own since last year. I have got many CDs with greek music and I want to learn greek through the songs as well.
As I don´t want to bother you with another lyrics and translation, it might be helpful if you advise me where to find them.

U R so lucky that U actually live there...I want to do that too,but who knows what will happen,for now just trying to learn the languague tooThey say that U can learn the languague of any country only by liveng there so I guess u know it much better then I doWhere in Greece do U work?And don't worry for the lyrics I'll be happy to help U if U need anything else

In fact, now I am back in my country (Czech Republic) at the moment and not planning to come back to work in Greece this year. May be just for a short holiday.
I worked in Corfu 2 years ago and for the last two summer seasons I was on Crete. Magnificent place. I worked in the hotel so most of the time I was using only english. Greek I can understand quite a lot, but still it´s extremely difficult to use it in practise.
And have you ever been in Greece??? I assume so...
Greece is a wonderful place, but I actually cannot imagine living there forever. I love it there, but greeks are so different from people in my country...
Anyway, I wish you good luck. If you love Greece so much, just go for it. You can always come back home.

I've been to Crete last summer, but in the south: Matala! I went in Chania, too...wonderful...the venetian harbour... I gave a link with some pictures somewhere in this forum, there is one from Chania old harbour too...but I don't remember in which thread! I'll lok for them, in case you want to see them.

Hi,venuskawell it's up to U to choose but I personaly would love to live there,they r not much different from us and my grandpa is greek so I know something bout themYes I've been to Greece only once,in Thesaloniki,Meteora,SerezI really left my soul there as U can see!Noe I have the chance to visit Rodos,where my love NINO lives so cross ur fingers 4 me to go there,i'm very happy bout that.I really love to visit Crete,everyone who's been there says it's fantastic,maybe I'll go there someday,it's not so dificult after all!

Dya, thank you so much fot the photos, they are very nice, specially those from Elafonissi and Santorini. Unfortunatelly I haven´t been to Santorini yet. We have been travelling with my friends around Crete for 4 days so we have visited many places. Matala was really nice, yet I remember it was very windy that day so we haven´t enjoy sunbathing that much. Anyway, I would personally recomend to everybody holiday on Crete. It´s really worth seeing all that nature beauty.
I will try to look for some photos too.

And Veronika, I really hope your dream will come truth. I do understand why you love Greece so much. Your roots are in there so it´s even more understandable. Greek boys are very temperament, but once they truly love you, they love you really deeply...I speak out from my own experience...So good luck with your NINO :-)))
