I agree with you guys. Greeks make beautiful music and i love it to bits, but so do Turks, i just dont understand why they have to copy each others music so much. Both countries have wonderfully talented composers and musicians but they have to sell us what we already bought from another artist in another language months and months before they realise their copy-cat albums. Recently, Milena, i have been listening to Ziynet Sali and oh good god... that woman cant stop turning Greek songs into Turkish.. and her Turkish versions of my favourite Greek songs all sound erm.. cheap. She built her whole career on nicking Greek songs. Strange i would say... :P but very clever..

I think they copy from each other because somehow the culture is very close to each other. The greeks have been in Turkey and the turkish people in Greece (when we look upon the history); the food is almost the same...and so on. So, no wonder, that they love the same style of music. And some people love the music even moren, when they understand about what the singer sings. So I guess that´s why they copy from each other amnd bring the lyrics in their own language.
And I have to tell you a secret: here in Germany the meals in turkish restaurants taste more greek than the greek meals in greek restaurants.

Owww, i can see you are roasting there, i love the sun and it makes me very happy but when its too hot it is like hell... As for Ukranian/Russian music, i always loved Valentina Lekostupova 'Yagoda Malina' it is such a timeless classic i think. I also i like Natalia Mohylevska's song vidpravyla message (hope i spelled them right) and you have a Ukranian/African singer with a very strong voice, she has good tunes i think her name is Adriana, is it?? Lastly, i like Ruslana (well, who doesnt? good voice, and extreme prettiness)
