Den s'afinan ta pelaga
(The oceans didn't let you)
Na rtheis sta dio mou xeria
(to come in to my two arms)
Pianosoun ap'ta sinnefa
(You were grabbing from the clouds)
Skarthalones st'asteria
(Climbing to the stars)
Kai mou leges, kai mou leges
(And you were telling me, telling me)
Na soun thalassa, na min se allaza
(If you were a sea, I would had never changed you)
Na soun padote diki mou
(To be forever mine)
Kai ego ta vala me tin thalassa
(and I was mad at the sea)
Kai esi thimoses mazi mou
(And you got mad at me)
Den itheles apanemo
(You didn't want a wind)
Limani gia nara'kseis
(A port to stay)
Perimenes ton anemo
(You waited for the wind)
Mazi tou na petakseis
(With it to fly away)
Kai mou leges, kai mou leges
(And you were telling me, telling me)
...
I hope it is a good and right translation...

Do you know greek? Now I'm really socked. Your translation is very good, but I have a correction:
Den itheles apanemo limani gia n'arakseis--->You didn't want a port without wind to anchor
Means that he didn't want to go to anchor in a calm port without wind.

Thanks for your improvement. Noooo, of course I don't know greek, but I found this lyrics and translation from the international forum of sarbel. I would like to know everything about greek, but unfortunately I don't.

You'll learn you'll see I believe that you'll manage to learn, cause you want it. I learned some turkish by myself cause I really want to learn. Don't think that I can do I proper conversation in turkish, but for the three weeks I'm trying, I think that they are good.

you are good! I think turkish and greek are unfamiliar with each other. But it doesn't matter, as you said I want to learn and I believe I will. Maybe I cannot speak but just understanding is enough for me for now. If I come to greece one day, I can improve my speaking maybe! I'm trying for three weeks like you. I most like the pronunciation of greek. It is lovely like spanish.

Yes Greek is really good. A Turk said me that he can understand us from our speaking cause we speak with many -s!!! Haha, I don't know if it's true, but I love our language

With many "-s" and "-os"! I hope I will understand one day, too. I just understand "mou" , "enas", kardia" and "sou"s for now!

They are enough for the moment. You can say "kardia mou" to a greek girl Hahaha.

Does anyone know what the song actually means? There are so many metaphors. It is such a beautiful song, and I would appreciate it more if I understood it.
Perhaps I am thinking about it too literally.
