In fact happy birthday in greek is "eftihismena genethlia" (ευτυχισμένα γενέθλια). Χρόνια πολλά means to live many years.

You can say 'xronia polla' at different occasions. For example also when you celebrate your nameday....if you have a nameday. I don't, but most of the Greeks do.

Yeah, that's right. We say "hronia polla" and in our namedays. Microeli, I have two namedays!

Yeap, I have two. The one is in November and the second is on Christmas (Maria, Chrisa). I have two namedays cause I have two names. Lucky me, ha?
