Default Pou einai i agapi

Για σασ, εγο θελο η μεταφραση παρακαλω . I don't know if I wrote it correct or not, don't be so hard on me, I'm trying to learn it at home But I'll start a Greek course in September. Anyway, I guess the title of the song is "Where is the love?" can you translate it for me please?

Also I have a question, I'll be grateful if you can explain it.

I've noticed that you sometimes don't read the "s" in the end of the words. Like "Αντρεασ" but you read it Andrea. Same applies for the surnames as well, is it always like that? I mean would it be wrong if you said "Andreas" ?

Miazoun i ores na 'ne megales anifores

I have translated this song in the past

Where is love

The hours seem to be big ascents
Like i’m fighting, i feel and i live like this
The hours seem to fall onto me like cloudbursts
And the memories to throw again thunder

Something in the soul is still sensitive
I cry like a child when I’m thinking of you
Hours in the silence, at work and in the car
Evening and morning, i’m looking for ways to forget

Where is love which brought me to the clouds
Give me something now that i’m falling, to be saved
Where is love to prove me before the end
If it’s illusion or if it’s something magical

The hours seem to be inhospitable like countries
Where i don’t find the shelter that i want
The hours seem to be big ascents
Like i’m fighting, i feel and i live like this

Something in the soul is still sensitive
I cry like a child when I’m thinking of you
Hours in the silence, at work and in the car
Evening and morning, i’m looking for ways to forget

Where is love which brought me to the clouds
Give me something now that i’m falling, to be saved
Where is love to prove me before the end
If it’s illusion or if it’s something magical

It's not that we don't read it. There isn't -s sometimes, cause we use different case. O Adreas is nominative, tou Andrea is genitive, ton Andrea is accusative and Adrea is vocative.
We use nominative to answer to the question who or what. Genitive to answer to the question whose. Accusative to answer to the question whom or what and vocative is used to call someone.

Examples:
O Andreas ine filos mou=Andreas is my friend -> nominative
Afto to sakaki ine tou Andrea=This is Andrea's jacket -> genitive
Min enohlis ton Adrea=Don't bother Andreas -> accusative
Andrea ela edo=Andreas come here -> vocative

So if you say "Adreas ela edo" or "Adrea ine filos mou", yes it's wrong. It's a huge mistake.

Ah I certainly have to work more on the alphabet, I write in, what you call "Greeklish" when I'm studying. I know, I'm just so lazy No, seriously I'll practice on it But hey you're right almost there yaay!

Thank you so much! oh and for the translations as well. These examples were really useful. This was rather iffy for me, now it's clear.

I'm sure that you'll make it. Spelling is difficult I know, but you can learn it if you watch carefully the greek lyrics (I mean in greek letters). Then try to remember the spelling of each word. I'm trying to learn bulgarian and that helps me a lot.

You're welcome. If you have any questions about this or something else, just let me know.
