Although there is a small difference in the meaning....
"όλο τρως απ' την κουτάλα" means that he is always involved into big money issues
And of course the guy is not in jail as you claim.
So the song's meaning is completely different.....

It talks about compromise
At first I thought it was about lost canning but after your post I read it more carefully and I saw it
