Just wondering if you have any good and quick replies a girl walking in a greek street would need. Need some short and sweet as not to have the dear caught in headlights look when confronted suddenly.
Thanks!

Hmm the translation of Zvezda is perfect. If we keep the Greek syntex in english won't sound well. I will answer you in Greek grammar thread ok?

Χρόνια σου πολλά και ό,τι επιθυμείς στη ζωή σου να το βρεις=Happy birthday* and to find in your life whatever you wish.**
* Actually it means 'many years', that's how we wish when sb has birthday.
** A free translation of this sentence is what you said 'every wish you have in your life to come true'.

Just a clarification for Milena: when we write -w we mean -o, so it's thelo and matho.
P.S Btw Dya I think you know!

Yes, Maria but I got used with writing w for ω. I have no idea why, but usually this is how I transliterate the words.
Btw: I was really impressed with your understanding of Romanian in that interview thread in the Romanian section Bravo sou!

Well I admit too that when I talk with Greeks and I'm too bored to change my keyboard I use w indead of ω.
P.S. Before I wanted to say 'I think you know Greek' but I guess I was so hungry and I ate the 'Greek' word.
