Apa Khabar ("How are you" .. or "Hi")

I'm from the northern region of Malaysia..

I was born in an island called Penang.

Unfortunately not.... but I'm really familiar with the language as many of Chinese programmes on the tv and radio are either in Mandarin or Cantonese. We even got a dozen of Chinese tv and radio channels here.

Meanwhile, most of my Chinese friends dont speak Mandarin or Cantonese. They speak in Hokkien. Majority of Chinese in Malaysia speak Hokkien.

Exotic? Yeah... kinda.

It seems that most of the forummers here are from Europe and Mid-East. So... I'm "exotic".

I love Arabic songs which further introduced me to Turkish and Greek songs.

I rarely listen to Malaysian/Indonesian songs... but at least I can translate the lyrics....

I always see this ad for Malaysia on Eurosport channel,something like "Malaysia truly Asia" and I stare

Yeah... it's kinda pretty... that's why there are less Malaysians living abroad as we love our country too much.....

Though I am not a fan of Malaysian music scene, but I do have several Malaysian songs that I really love...
