Hello I am new!
I teach raks sharki and like to know the meaning of songs for myself and my students. I'm an English speaker with a tiny knowledge of Arabic (shwaya shwaya). I studiend Spanish for 7 years but don't use it and have lost a lot of it so I hope to start using some of it too.

Also known as belly dance in the west. Sometimes spelled raqs sharqi.


Hi Zahra,
I know, 7 years of Spanish and I never use it.
Sometimes if I'm around Spanish speakers it comes back but I don't have much opportunity.
