Could you please help with THIS instrumental piece? Some may know it

I watch these series from 2003 until 2006 when it finally ended but I always wondered about an instrumental piece that plays through some episodes. It is a sad guitar solo that reminds me of Narciso Yepes or Ennio Morricone but even if I searched their discographies I found nothing about that piece. Could you please listen to it carefully? I'm sure that it is not made by the series production because all the pieces played are known to my ears and I'm sure they are taken by artists. So here is the video and go to 44:42 and listen to it. Someone may know it or have a piece of information.
