My friend Alice wants to find a George Jones song containing lyrics about fighting on the bed. She thinks this is the song's title, but my internet research suggests not. Anyone know what song it is? I am looking for an oldie which came out around the same time as Eleanor Rigby hit the charts. The ending is something like "...this misery. Lazing on a sunny afternoon, in the summertime." A man sings it, and I know it exists because it is occasionally played on the oldies tape at the Gold Coast casino here in Vegas. Otherwise I never hear it. Thanks so much, moresusan

For the second song, try "Sunny Afternoon" by The Kinks

The tax man's taken all my dough,
And left me in my stately home,
    Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
And I can't sail my yacht,
    He's taken everything I've got,
All I've got's this sunny afternoon.

Oops,... Mix's faster fingers found it first...
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title

For the first song, try "There's The Door" by George Jones

    There's the mantle where
    We keep our wedding picture.
    There's the bedroom where
We make both love and war.

And there's the ring that keeps
    On slipping off your finger.
There's no reason we should go on
    Anymore and there's the door.
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title
