Funny unknown song from my childhood

I was staying over at a friends house one weekend, I think I was in year 6 about 11 or 12 years old so it must have been around 88-89. We were listening to this song, I remember it being very funny, there was no singing, just a male talking, kinda like a Weird Al song. I guess Weird Al would have been the right era.

Anyway I barely remember the lyrics but I remember the first verse;

"I had this dream the other night, that when I went to work, nobody knew who I was, so, I decided to take the day off..."

I remember just a little more about a beach and a woman saying "Can you see what i'm saying"

I swear im not going crazy I heard this song.....

Oh and the song was in the top 40 at the time.
