This song is the theme from the 1988 movie "Bright Lights Big City" starring Michael J. Fox. Out of circulations I don't have access to a copy and the song is driving me crazy. Most of the Lyrics are (close) to the following:

I thank you soo verry verrry much. I heard this song on the radio and the memories it brought back were good and bad, but it was driving me crazy not to have them all and know who sang and the real title. OK I'm a little OCD about my music.

But again, THANK YOU. Now I can go get a copy of it for my collection. I always meant to then lost the name and forgot about it, til now.
