Okay - When I was in second grade in Mrs. Peterson's class, she taught us this folk/traditional song that has a haunting and beautiful melody:
When you look in the sky at the fall of the year-
If you listen very close, you'll possibly hear-
The wild geese calling as they fly up high-
The wild geese calling in the sky.
How do they know-
It's time to go?
How can they see-
It's time to flee? (I'm not sure this is the correct line but it's what I've made up in my head)
Is there a voice we cannot hear?
That guides them safely through the year.
Has ANYONE ever heard this song? Who wrote it? Knows where I can find the music/lyrics? I would love to pass it on to my kids!
