    Default Blues-song: Rain

    Hey,

I'm searching for the title and composer of this song. It's an acoustic BLUESsong (only voice, guitar and some percussion)

    Here are some lyrics:

    If you see cloudy sky
and there're no moon out tonight
... i hold my head in shame

    ...
Cause i remember when she left me
    and ooo how it rain.

When the wind is blowing high
    underneath the darkest sky

i just can't get over you
seems like walking is the only thing to do

cause i remember when she left me
    and ooo how it rain.

    just rain, just rain,
    rain, rain, rain, rain

    Thanks

    Mathieu

Now that took some serious research! I wanted to know too. Anyway, the song is called 'Oh How It Rained' by Eddie Floyd. Sometimes it's listed as 'Oh How It Rained/When My Baby Said Goodbye'. This song is phenomenal. I absolutely love it. I haven't heard it for so many years I can't even count. For the life of me I can't find the lyrics to the whole song, but I'll keep searching. You have a lot of the words right according to the short audio sample. Thanks for wondering about this one, it gave me incentive to finally find it.

I could only find it in a series album called:
The Complete Stax-Volt Soul Singles, Vol. 2: 1968-1971 [BOX SET]

You can get it at Amazon.com and it's pretty expensive, but I think worth it. Amazon also has an audio sample --it's on Disc 7 song #9
