    Default An (old?) anti-war song

I can't remember exactly how it went, but I heard it a few months ago at a Raw & Vegan restaurant.
The lines that stick out most went something like:
"What is the point of going to war
if you aren't going to live to see what you're fighting for"

Those aren't the lyrics exactly, but that's the main message. If anyone could help me figure this out, that would be incredible!
Thanks, I've been trying to find out who sings it for ages (months)!

The two that come to mind are "War" by Edwin Starr and Buffalo Springfield's "For What it's Worth"

Hmm... I just checked out the lyrics to both of those songs and neither seems to match. Thank you for the help, though!

Hm... the instrumentation of the song was focused around bongos or something similar, and I can't remember if there was an acoustic guitar or not. It was a fairly mellow song.

    Again, any help is appreciated!

A song that comes close in meaning is "I-Feel-Like_I'm-Fixin'-To-Die-Rag" by Country Joe & The Fish. You may have better luck at the following websites

    prato.linux.it/~lmasetti/antiwarsongs/categoria.php?id=1&lang=en

    or simply Google "anti-war songs"
