Round Here...

I've got 2 songs that have been in my head for the longest time.
One is sung by a woman, sort of folkie style and the chorus is something like:
"round here i like the way they talk, round here i like the way they sing"
and the other one is a real simple song sung by a guy about what he'd like to buy his woman if he was rich. there's not really a chorus but the bit that's pestering me he sings "i'd buy a colour television..."
i know they are both uber vague but any ideas would be great!
