Don´t laugh...little mermaid song not disney

Hi, I just discovered this forum. I really hope anyone can help me with this challenge because its a tough one really. Quite a few years ago, say about 25 or so I saw this lovely little film on tv. It was an animated version of The little mermaid. No disney here. I remember some lovely song in english sung by a nice girl voice. Been looking for this version but can´t seem to place what version it was. I am almost sure it was not a manga version. Anyway, I still remember a few lines from the song, had some chorus at the end too..." I WILL SPEND ALL MY LIFE BESIDE HIM TILL TRUE LOVERS WE WILL BE" or " I WILL SPEND ALL MY LIFE BESIDE HIM UNTIL HE LOVES ME" This was the last phrase I am ALMOST sure.
Anyway, hope someone may remember seeing it or recognize it. Thanks
