Union Bank of California Commercial song...

Just wondering, does anyone know what the song is that they use in the newer Union Bank of California commercials? The only lyrics I can come up with are no use...since they're just "ooooooo ooo ooo, ooooooo oo oooo oo..."(and then the guy sings something else). I know it's not much to go by, but I can tell you it has a guy singing with a guitar, drums, and possibly the piano too. Any help would be very much appreciated!

The ooooooooooing sounds like "Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. If you like it, go get the same by Aselin Debison. If it's not that, you'll probably want it anyway.

Yeah, I've heard that one by Israel before many times and it is really nice. Unfortunately it's not the right song. I can't even find the commercial online anywhere to link to it. And I guess only people in California would know about it. Thanks for replying though...and the version by Aselin is really good too!

Thistle, I also struck-out trying to find your song. But you are in good company. Numerous people on other search websites have been trying to find a Union Bank of California commercial with the lyrics "your face... this place... is unforgettable" for the past six months.

Well thanks to you both for looking. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't find it. For a while I thought I was crazy. And thanks atmaster...I will try and see if the lyrics are part of the song I'm looking for.

I read an older posting at adtunes (2003) where a person in your same situation contacted Union Bank of California and they responded with a quick, friendly, positive reply. You may need to consider that option.

I had the same song stuck in my head. Today I've heard it on the radio and wasn't able to catch the name of the song. I do believe it is the song by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole. I'm not sure if you listened to a sample of the song, but on amazon.com they play the middle of the song. He only does the "oooo.. oo...oooo" part in the very beginning.

But I am 100% sure that it's not that song. I have used that song by Israel on a wedding video I've edited for a Hawiian Bride, so I know what song you are talking about. The one I'm looking for does have the oooo ooooo oooo part...but it is also a "rock" song, not an easy listening type of song like the "Somewhere over the rainbow" one. If I find a sample of the one I'm looking for online, I will post the link for people to hear it.
