Need help in identifying song

I heard the song while I was in Fuddruckers-a hamburger joint that plays mostly classic rock. All I know is that it goes whoa-oh oh -uh oh oh over and over again and that's the main tune. It sounded a lot like the Ramones or Billy Idol and has a punk like beat to it. Unfortunately I couldn't hear anymore because the singer had a weird accent and my boyfriend was on the phone...any ideas? I'm open to anything.

My only guess....probably not right....is The Breakup Song. I mean, if it's Fuddruckers, it must have been some kind of hit, which this song by the Greg Kihn Band was. But the lyrics don't quite fit your "whoa..." (the following uses "ah"):
