No Clue!...HELP

Someone sent me some songs years ago without the name or artist...it has been driving me crazy....Even the MOST knowledgable muscians I know are stumped....This is my last hope....I'll start with one song at a time....
It is a slow song (rock)..starts out with deep base guitar....The beginning lyrics go like this"

She wears a ring a he has no business feeling this way
but oh what a love affair there could be if only they could see themselves together
It might of been better if he hadn't seen her today
They spoke their pleasentries but he was looking at the light behind her eyes
